Addressing the Name Confusion on The New Star Wars Battlefront

I have seen this forum and a lot of people are calling it Star Wars Battlefront 3, which is incorrect. Dice is developing and EA is publishing the new game, Star Wars Battlefront, (not that it is not SWBF3) and it is the REBOOT of a Game Legacy, not the continuation. It will be SWBF. Also, if you do not believe me, see http://starwars.ea.com/battlefront [Note: in the video, and on the page in fact, there is not once a mention of SWBF3, just SWBF]

We did try to address this by calling the forum board 'Star Wars Battlefront: EA Reboot'.

But I think because the game has been through so many drastic development changes people sorta stopped caring, and just started calling it whatever they wanted to.

There's also been a lot of confusion about people stumbling across footage from cancelled Free Radical game and thinking that's the game EA's working on.

Yeah thanks for clarifying that for people. Its a shame EA are publishing the game. So many new and better options. EA (new EA, post 2007) are one of the worst companies to be in.

Lol @ this. The game will technically be the 3rd SWBF game to fully come out. Therefor I will continue to call it SWBF3.

Free Radical, defunct, produced the now equally-canned Star Wars Battlefront 3 that has grabbed the imaginations of people everywhere...via leaked footage.

This is a reboot of the Battlefront franchise, made by DICE, an umbrella of EA.

Until it actually materializes, feel free to call it what you want, as far as I am concerned 

Having said that, I named the forum board, so I am aware of what EA and Dice say.  They also seemed to put in their own digs against Pandemic, which I don't think is fair whatsoever.  I think Pandemic did a spectacular job given what they had to work with and accomplish.  So if you want to call it something that bugs the Dice folks, go for it
