The title explain it all.My project is doomed if i cannot find a way to do it.If someone make it please post the odf files here so i can see it.Thanks in advance!
I believe you can use the sniper rifle (for instance) as a model and substitute the weapon settings for the fusion cutter:

In sides>Common>odf:

com_weap_inf_fusioncutter

RoundsPerClip           = "8"
Optional: ReloadTime              = "2.0"

Then go to the class using the fusion cutter (e.g. all_inf_default_engineer)

WEAPONSECTION = 2
WeaponName         = "all_weap_inf_fusioncutter"
WeaponAmmo         = 7 (multiply the rounds per clip by this number for total ammo)

I'm not sure what it is, but I think that what he means is that the website does not "download" the file when clicking the button. You can go here and it will work:

Okay so I finally have new discs for swbf2 do I need to delete the old swbf2 folder under LucasArts before I try installing the new discs because it won't let me uninstall what is currently in the folder?

I dont want any chances of it getting messed up again while trying to install the new discs
Delete the old game and install the new files -- then just replace the exes

So whats the best way to fix that when you don't have the cd's to reinstall the game?
You can find it everywhere but I'll attach and you can paste it where the executable file is.

Mine is saying "The program can't start because binkw32.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."

It looks like it is installed and without the discs I can't reinstall it also there are 2 GameData folders so I am a little confused where to put it so I put it in the one that already had the BattlefrontII exe

This is the Path I found it under C:\Program Files (x86)\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\GameData

I don't know maybe I need someone to screenshare on my PC so they can see whats going wrong?
That doesn't mean you need the disk, but the library binkw32 which you might have deleted.

AFAIK SWBF2 never needed the disk to be executed. Anyways, all the patches have the no cd patch, so I don't really get your point  :shrug:

Thanks for the rounds, everyone! It was great to play this game for a while  :cheers:

Released Maps and Mods / SWBF1 Steam Reversion Files

SWBF1 Steam Reversion Files

http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=1578

Hey there guys,

During the past weeks, we've been asked for the files to revert the game from Steam to SWBFSpy. As far as we know the only "different" files (or better said, the ones needed to revert the MP alternative) are the Common & Shell files plus the executable.

I have compiled the files and included the "Install" folder, which is usually needed to play Multiplayer, and it has some cd keys examples in order to play.

Remember that this patch is only to revert from Steam/GoG Multiplayer to SWBFSpy Multiplayer.

If anyone has any issue, please contact us and we'll be glad to help  :cheers:

In order to install it, just extract the files in the game folder itself (e.g. -- F:\Games\Star Wars Battlefront (Classic 2004)) and make sure to execute "Battlefront SWBFSpy.exe" instead of just Battlefront.exe

Dark Phantomm, you're killing me here.
I don't think it helps that I pirated the game either  :whip:
Piracy discussions are not allowed. Since the question has been answered I'll go ahead and lock the thread, reminding you of what DP said, avoid posting irrelevant "questions"/bumping threads without a purpose.

My friends and I use the disk copy of the game on PC and normally just play over a local area network. I have hosted with the server executable and the client executable both before. There is no latency issues to be seen with human players only strange behavior from the AI such as occasionally spinning in circles or teleporting in the distance seen from connected clients but not the host. The more bots the worse it gets as if the game does a very bad job at syncing movement and predicting where AI is going or maybe not as much memory is allocated like instant action.
That is because the bots from 2005 are not as good as the ones from 2015. Spinning in circles is, from what I can tell, a normal behavior in both SWBF1 & SWBF2. But teleporting is something I never saw.

I believe the tick rate (server) and frame rate (client) are uncapped in LAN mode.  (I know more about SWBF1 than SWBF2).  If you are on wireless, the occasional glitch may be from interference of your wi-fi.
TPS are "limited" in both LAN & Internet (usually to 30, but of course you can modify it and make it be 40 if you want). As for the client, TPS are limited to 80 unless you hexedit the exe and change its value. For instance I have mine set to 120 (I usually cap all my games to these FPS), but I don't think that affects much in the gaming experience -- not like in SWBF1 where /noframelock makes the game much smoother.

@JaKeCrAzY if you wish to give a shot to the FPS increase and see if it helps, let me know, else there's nothing we can do about it. The game's just old.

Instead of mirroring I recommend you use a VPN or contact them.  The content could be updated at any time.

That is indeed the solution, however, I don't remember who's the owner of gametoast. By mirroring it, the point is for him to see the content now to get the info posted at this moment.

Maybe the problem is your internet, pal! I never had a single issue like that and I've played the game for 10 years  ;)
