When I try to host on Gameranger, not with dedicated software, most people cannot see my server in the lobby when it starts up. Then when I tell them to make a server I can't see theirs either, before I host it says something about my NAT router, and it says the same thing to some others also. Is there a way to bypass this? I think it might be that it's 9999 ping but I'm not sure if the 9999 ping trick will work for Gameranger, since Gameranger starts the game for us.. Any help? :mushy:

To host on game ranger you have to portfoward the other players you try to join would also have to if they wish to host.

This does a decent explanation of the exact nature of what gameranger needs: http://www.gameranger.com/support/network/?i_ip=3232236019&x_ip=3635704347&r_ip=3232235777&rt=2&pp=0

and this can help you along on portfowarding http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?topic=51.0

Hm, thanks Merry, I'll look into it, might help  :xmastim:
