I have basically two questions, I'm just an amateur modder so they may be trivial.
1. I want to mod medical and (BF1) repair droids so that they heal different units than in vanilla. This seems absolutely doable when I take a look at the .odfs (data_MOD/Common/odfs). So I edit the odfs, place the edited droids on the map in ZeroEditor, munge and launch BF2. No crashes, but the game seems to not read the modified .odfs at all (the medical droid heals as always). Even worse, the repair droid isn't present on the map.
I would be glad for help. (whoever helps will get mentioned in credits.txt
) Btw, I know how to create custom sides, units etc.
2. Is gametoast down forever? (at least for me it never loads the site)
