I'm having trouble concentrating on my reading; therefore, I thought of an idea for a thread: in this thread, riddles, trivial information, as well as tips will be posted.
To begin with, I'll post a riddle. Actually, here is a correction: I will post a riddle relayed in series.

Zahads is my favorite series of riddles available electronically (I've gotten farther in it than in any other series of riddles available electronically because Zahada is more user friendly than the others).

It's because it's not just the rules.

These are fun :D I will have more time later today to do more
Awesome! I love these kind of things.
Here's an classic one (and a very easy one as well)
"This thing all things devours:
Birds, trees, beasts, flowers;
Gnaws iron, bites steel;
Grinds hard stones to meal;
Slays kings, ruins town,
And beats high mountains down."

Come on I've read the Hobbit too you know.
Why was the hearse horse hoarse?
coffin...
Lol, where are the really difficult ones! I'm now at number 9 of that game you send. (btw i sometimes really hate my lack of English...)
"I turn polar bears white
And I will make you cry.
I make guys have to pee
And girls comb their hair.
I make celebrities look stupid
And normal people look like celebrities.
I turn pancakes brown
And make your champagne bubble.
If you squeeze me, I'll pop.
If you look at me, you'll pop"
Its in my vocabulary only one lvl higher then the one from the hobbit (also...i told you it was a classic one...that was a hint :P)

To pass along a tip for those writing essays: if you read the beginning of a piece, its conclusion, and the topic sentences of the paragraphs, you will get more than enough information to hold a conversation on the subject of your research.
Where are the Other Minutae? I'm disappointed!
(Helpful Hint: If anyone needs a fast essay for a "cultural studies" type class, try this website: http://www.elsewhere.org/pomo/)

It's just meant as a general tips and tricks thread, but for endeavors not limited to video games.
That's an interesting website... it just generates random essays? I Googled a portion of an essay and one of the results was a very similar portion of another essay hosted at the same website.
Yes, there's information about the site at the bottom. The work that led to the generator was written up in "On the Simulation of Postmodernism and Mental Debility Using Recursive Transition Networks" (lol)
Now, with Google's search engine features being extraordinarily accessible, most people who are able to use the internet are able to conduct a search. But... can they do so effectively?
I live with my disgrace are lyrics from a song. But what song?
Let's find out how to find out.
First, we can Google the lyrics in italic. (http://bit.ly/10RdXOl) But the answer isn't there.
If we Google I live with my disgrace lyrics (http://bit.ly/10Reccm) the answer still isn't there.
So, what can we Google to find the answer? What can we do? We can put brackets around information to create search terms. If we Google "I live with my disgrace" + "lyrics" (http://bit.ly/10RezUd), we find the answer.
