HOLD ON
so i can just take the crosshair and just replace the common lvl with it?
The crosshair TGAs are in the common lvl, to edit them you need to download the Common LVL Builder. A crosshair is not a file that you simply put in your game, you have to put it in your common builder in the right spot and then munge.
What are you specifically wanting to do? Make your own crosshair or use someone else's? Someone might make it for you if you ask nicely.
Oh i thought he was downloading a crosshair and wanting to use it, i did'nt know he wanted to put his own in ???

I did want to download a crosshair to use but Zam said that i would have to use tool builder and im not really good at technology stuff yet so i asked him if he could make me one.
Well then download it, extract it, and put it in your common, how to get there i already explained in other post, don't forget to save the regualar crosshair in case you want it back or something goes wrong, make a new folder and drag your reg common into it, then put the new one in...if you still don't get it message me on x fire :P

What crosshair(s) do you want? Nickchanger is a separate thing, it has nothing to do with the common lvl builder.
Well....i dont really know much (im a noob)xD so if u choose i guess that would be okay lol  Thanks again.....
I will see what I can do, I have no clue what kind of crosshairs you like ... Hope you like what I pick out.
Cause of my busy schedule, I don't think I can get it done until next Monday. Hope you don't mind the wait.
EDIT: here's the nick changer: http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?topic=5033.0
The readme should explain everything. Enjoy!
Thanks! i dont mind waiting :D hope it doesnt intrude on anything you are doing. :moo: Anyway Thanks that would be great!

Whoops! I was on my PC yesterday for the first time in a week and a half. I might be able to get online on Friday, I don't have school that day until 7:00 for homecoming.
Do you mind if I link you to another common.lvl that I've tested and enjoyed? It's not mine.
EDIT: here: http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=664
Hope you don't mind, Regent. :)

No problem, man. ;)
Let me know if you need any modding help, I bet you have some great ideas.
Well i would need new help for basicly everything im very much a noob and i need a new computer that i might get in 2-4 weeks so if i could understand everything that would be awsome!(You dont need to say EVERYTHING, if you could just say some general modding stuff that would be awsome! :cheer:)
Well, what are you interested in modding? What kinds of things would you like to change about your game?
Well, I dont really know yet but i think it would be best to start on the hardest thing so that everything else seems easy. So would making a world be the hardest? I download mod tools from Cnet that look pretty good, so i think im ready.... :D

You
never start with the hardest, it is capable of putting you off modding for good. When a programmer starts a new language they start by making a simple easy program that says "Hello World" it helps them adjust to the language and get a feel for it. You should always start with the easy stuff first then work your way up.
OH okay....well what do u suggust i start with then SK? I have no idea what to do really :o

Side modding, simple ODF tinkering is what I started with then I worked up to skins and so on and so forth. Try this http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?topic=8.0 (http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?topic=8.0).
Alright....i did everything until i got to making the world then it says that i have an error 800a004c
idk what that is but it wont let me do anything else...
i need help
I found this: http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?topic=3762.msg39301#msg39301
I'd recommend side modding for you for two reasons:
1. I think it has a great learning curve: you can mod simple things in side and eventually get good at it and change a lot.
2. After talking with you on servers, I think you would have some great ideas. ;)
I think it may be in your interest to skim through the tutorials section and just see what interests you.
EDIT: Oh, and I can help you with side modding 'cause that's what I mod most. :)
your common would go in C:/Programfiles(x86)/LucasArts/Battlefront/GameData/Data/LVL_PC_/
on Your version of your computer. As for making a common.lvl with some tga cross hairs.... I can't help you with that, (every time i make a common.lvl mod it crashes)
