Title: [HELP] I need a tutourial!
Post by: Shazam on April 27, 2012, 02:58:25 PM
I need a written tutorial for the "SWBF1 Modding LVL Builders Toolbox V4b" so I can use it more. I am confused by most of it, and the ReadMe's don't help me much.

Please Help!

I personally use BFBuilder, it builds sides and worlds. And makes addon maps. I'd recommend learning to use it before trying anything else.

Master the "basics" before you go galavanting into the tool box.
You gotta learn to walk before you can run (or use the exciting tool box).

The toolbox is a great compilation of specialty tools.

Pretty much all of it can be done in BFBuilder, and all of them assume you have an understanding of how BFBuilder munges and manages it's tasks.

So to understand the toolbox, you need to understand BFBuilder.

I there is a very light weight 'quick start' tutorial in:
BFBuilder\Documentation\quickstart.htm

It will get you moving around in the level building process.
From there, explore the other documents in that same folder, the tutorials section of this and other sites.
Phobos's SWBF Modding Encyclopedia 4.0 (http://www.mediafire.com/?h0drxbtphlhar1h) has loads of information archived from various places.

I downloaded the "SWBF Modding Encyclopedia Version 4.0" and it's saved to the dekstop, for now. I click to run it, and it asks where I want to extract, where should I?
