if i host a dc from one of my macs. can
a) a pc player join from an outside network
b) i join with my other mac from my home network?

The answer is yes, provided that the proper port forwarding settings are made on your firewall/router.

i will try tonight. ( that is afternoon for you americans)
i never had luck with static router ip. i do have airport extreme and i do port forwarding but dude its so annoying with changing router ips. but if i assign manually it never gets me an internet connection.
