there is certainly money to be made in modding. just look at what these guys made by selling their model on the Team fortress store.

Well naturally if Valve sells items created by the community rather than themselves, there's royalties involved.

Huge props to creators of the massive amount of items available in TF2. I think they are amazing. :D

Choices limitless really, I checked out the store and found a lot of cool stuff. Just depends on what the modders make and what is put on the store.
