Title: Is there a way to edit downloaded maps?
Post by: vjeko1701 on October 12, 2016, 06:51:51 AM
Hello. First I have to say that I've been modding various games for over 10 years (eg SW:EAW:FOC). Recently I've started playing battlefront 2, downloaded the Convo Pack containing KotOR era, TFA 1.6 mod and about 5-6 maps. I would like to add KotOR and GCW2 era fights to some of them that don't have it. Remove some crashing eras from the same maps. Also, I would like to merge some things from Death Watch Bunker and Coruscant High Fight.

So, is there a way for me to merge a few of the mods with each other in order to make the game even more enjoyable? I have BF2 mod tools and Mission scripter that's crashing. I have experience in scripting, over ten years in Photoshop...

If u have the modmap source, then u can edit it, if not u can extrakt the files but that's more complicated... Also u could hexedit it, but I guess the easiest way is to get the source of the modmap...

Thanks, well are there tools for unmungeing the map? I doubt that the makers would be willing to give me their source files.

That's a good topic. I wanted to revamp ForceMaster's AOV but he is no more active on gametoast and virtually I can't achieve this goal if there is no way of get the source files.
