SWBFUpdate Comments and Notes / Mod maps with update.

I know nothing about this so sorry if its obvious but i was wondering if i could put extra mod maps in the swbfgamers update folder then be able to join games that are using them. I know I can't select these maps in-game for hosting but I thought it would be better to leave maps in there instead of switching them in from other places when i wanted to use them.

I've only had a quick look at so far, but I like the new effects, especially some of the secondary weapons.
Is this compatible with swbfgamers update (I've just changed pc so I have to re-download alot of stuff)?

I've installed the update (after 2 hours of downloading) and have a few problems; I can play on the server with the new maps and units i tried but the maps dont show up on the server screen and the new units in game dont have names:

Also no new maps show up on the single player instant action screen. I'm using Vista 32bit/BOPC version of game. Hope some of this helps. :)

When you use the pc service 'gamespy' you pick the server you want here; http://www.xfire.com/profile/gdh92/screenshots/?view#120422793 but when I use gameranger everything happens automatically until that screen when it just appears empty. Although some gameranger servers do work.

I just downloaded gameranger and got it working on my router and i can get into some servers but didn't see any maps displayed for another one i tried. It probably depends if the host is using 1.0 or the 1.2 patch. Was 1.2 released for Macs?

Not really sure if this is the right place for this but would it be possible to get rid of the (in game) booting for dedicated servers. It never actually gets enough votes and all it does is get spammed and then cause boot bugs.

If you can i've always thought a super fast/small unit would be good. Like an ewok with a really short range weapon that zooms around the screen killing anyting it touches... Maybe thats just me though ;)

I don't know if you're still taking ideas but would it be possible to convert any of your killed teamates into zombies (the other team) so that the game got gradually harder for you.

It works fine for me now and its a good map. Would be interesting to play on multiplayer to see what sort of battles you could have trying to get across the middle to the cps.  :tu:

When i copy to the addon folder i get 8 warnings (addme.script, cor.lvl etc.) saying an unspecified error is preventing this operation then when i check in addon all the folders are empty (they are there on the downlad). Is it just me who has this problem?

I think you play as Kyle Katarn in all the dark forces/jedi knight games (except for jedi academy where he only appears in some missions).

I used to play those games all the time until i scratched my disc  :( .   Its a shame theres never been a sequel no 'modern' games have come close to the lightsaber combat in Jedi academy. They could even bring back those cut scene actors from the first games (I still think they were just developers in fancy dress).  :happy:
