Welcome to the site. If you mean the official game update there's currently 8 servers with 7 players in one. It tends to get busier in the evenings.

The patch hosted here doesn't get as many players now that official multiplayer is restored but some still use it because it's ironically a lot more stable than the official one

Welcome back, there's normally a few players online.

There's a few of us still around from the old days as well you would have played with but you have to use your steam name so it's awkward to know who's who.

The server worked well when I played earlier with a couple of others. Unfortunately after 2 matches I was booted and that started a 10minute cycle of crashing and freezing. It's lucky I like this game...

I also found out you can't play on Steam and GOG at the same time, it just puts you straight into the one that's running.

No seriously, if anyone can, maybe we can make this better for everyone.  I said previously I thought they were using the source, but seeing it, I am pretty sure they aren't now, which means they are mucking with an unstable exe to inject stuff.  I'd hate to see this game get more negative publicity than it did the first time, with unusable options and such.

They are pretty good at answering on Facebook but when I tried before they just said I should post in the forum's. If we're lucky they might still have an active team on it at the moment.

I appreciate what they've done but it's seriously unstable, especially considering swbfspy fixed everything and worked.

Just had a game on Eddie's Italia with Goldman and it all worked fine although Norwood couldn't get in. It looks like the 1.3 patch so no 20 mod map limit which is a bonus.

Update: It's great fun but a lot of glitches in the browser. The refresh button is a 50/50 chance of freezing.

They've also put the beeps back on the multiplayer maps loading if that makes sense.

You have to use your steam name, your profile name makes no difference.

I just started a random map (deathstar) and it worked.

Hopefully we see a wave of new players again. They've updated a few settings and I had one crash but it all works for me.

I think it must have just happened because there's just been the first news article.

Which bit are you having problems with? Is it battlefront 1 on Steam you're trying?

Do you only have this problem in battlefront 1? Is it constant flickering like strobing or screen tearing with lines? And is it on Steam?

Sounds good.. I'll do my best to make it. I agree with most of what you said, just put in a few of the best maps and keep it simple for the first event to encourage people to join. I think player numbers are the most important thing.

Only thing I would suggest is to have it on a Saturday instead so it can start earlier and run for longer with the different time zones. Saturday usually means US players can start earlier and European players can play later.

It's alright, I sent one. I'm guessing there's a few more people will see this topic and ask soon though now they know you've got spares. 😉
