Trandoshan weaponary has always been a fascination with me. I thought by making a public request that this could be shared with others as well. Im looking for someone to model this nice looking weapon for an upcoming mod update. The modeler will be credited , any help would be greatly appreciated.

I could give it a try if you can give me some more reference shots. Like a side profile, top and bottom.

Unfortunally there doesnt seem to be any other visible front images. But I would be perfectly happy if something was kitbashed to fit a similiar shape or theme(theme meaning it doesnt have to look exactly like the pic and creative freedom can be taken to get something just as cool looking. you can look into other trandoshan weaponry if you want, just need something rifle-like that would fit the look overall. Kitbashing vanilla assets to get something similiar would be just fine as well) The skin itself, I dont think you need to worry about it. A model and a possible uv map will do beautifully.

WIP pic attached. I really like it so far. Can you find a video or something, It would help me model the remaining dimension and give it its final shape. I used the picture you found already as a rotoscope.

Im impressed with the wip so far. I would love to provide great video refference if I could, but unfortunally the game it comes from no longer is officialy playable. It comes from star wars galaxies which lost its online support a few years ago when the old republic came out. There is somethnig called SWG emulator which allows for people to join servers for it, however a legit copy of the game is needed. I have a few friends who have the swg emu beta but im not sure if this weapon is avaible in it.

here is more info on it. From what I have seen so far, you have the shape down perfect. I would take a gander at the wookie bowcaster with in battlefront for a more reliable refference. It is said that the trandoshan hunting rifle was the answer to the wookie bowcaster in combat. I think it is safe to say that the rifle itself took inspiration from thier enemy the wookie. With your shape and the smoothness and refference of the bowcaster, it would be near perfect.

The first refference pic i gave you gives some pretty good depth for the back of the rifle. I think the same geometry and width can just be applied to the rest of the model. Given that the scope geometry can be reasonably the width/length of the pre-exisiting battlefront bow caster.

I asked my friend to check the swg emu recently to see if its avaible, however it would take a reasonable amount of time to try and obtain the weapon, granted if its even aviable in the emu.

EDIT: Remove my post, it's clear I've nothing to contribute here.

Np goldman.

Here is a preview of the trandoshan unit that will be using this majestic weapon. May it serve as something of an inspiration I hope. I have a lot of goodies prepared to be shown next wensday after E3.

Did you not freeze transforms on it before export? Or just exported it too large in the scene. xD

LOL, it's been a long time since I've seen an improperly scaled weapon in SWBF. That's just too funny though xD.
