A repair weapon for vehicles that repairs other vehicles or structures.

It would be hard to use, but it doesn't exist, so.. there's an idea.

Doesn't that pretty much describe the fussion cutter?

Yeah, so basicly the idea is put a fusion cutter on a vehicle.
(I didn't say it was a good idea. heh)

OH! I thought you meant to make a weapon that can repair vehicles and buildings for Humans  :S

Could you just give the vehicles ODF property's of the recharge droid? Then just tell it to target buildings and unbuilt buildings?

Edit:
Or just give it an extra weapon, thats laser shoots crazy fast, and Damage is a negative value, and can "harm" buildings and unbuilt buildings as well?

Something like that.

I'm thinking the best way to make it playable is as a slow moving gunship or transport that has to be protected or escorted. 

The healing factor would be a reason to stay close, and heavy guns or high passenger count would be the reason to get in it to begin with.

I have a map/mode idea.

Map: Hoth
Mode: Dogfight (because dogfighting in Snowspeeders are fun)

So this is a pretty simple map. Just have Imperials on side A and Rebels on side B visa-versa. Each side gets enough Snowspeeders for everybody. No turrets. This is meant to be a multiplayer map. I also thought that a large tunnel big enough for Snowspeeders would be pretty cool. I mean to be chasing someone then go after them through this tunnel (similar to Rhen Var Cit but without the ice pillars. Okay, maybe one or two ice pillars that split the path).

I was thinking that the Rebels could be called the "Hoth Snow Brigade" and the Imperials could be called something along the lines of the "Imperial Blizzard Force" or something like that. The Rebels could just get some decals on their ships while the Imperials would get a fully re-skinned Snowspeeder (black & red / Darth Maul style?).

A word about the Snowspeeders; the Snowspeeders are actually very weak in-game and aren't very useful at all except for tripping AT-TTs and doing strafing runs on infantry. I suggest boosting their damage (and armor) so they can actually do destroy another Snowspeeder.

I disagree I think they are extremely useful for taking out AT-AT, AT-ST, and infantry. A few skilled pilots flying snowspeeders most often ensures rebel victory.

In order for this type of server to work properly, you would have to scale up the damage its blasters do to vehicles.

This code is from all_weap_fly_snowspeeder_cannon_ord.odf

VehicleScale = "0.1"
PersonScale = "1.0"


Change vehiclescale to 1.0 and then the blasters deal full damage instead of 10% to other planes.

I have an idea:
"Kid" Wars
A long time ago, on the next street over,
kids gathered together to re-enact the
greatest battles to shape the destiny of
the entire neighbor hood.

Basicly, a side mod full of new models, of kids in makeshift costumes using found objects to "play Star Wars" with the other neighborhood kids.

Kid sized models, using scaled animations.

Costumes like collander hats, tinfiol droid parts, cardboard armor.

Fingers could be used as pistols, while sticks and old tool handles could be used for rifles and lightsabres.

New sounds could include voiced "pew pew" noises and explosions ("ker-plow!")

(I'd avoid jets, cause no good ever came from jumping off the roof..)

An extra feature would be that one kid that always shows up in the wrong costume (Indiana Jones, perhaps?)

Maps for it would center around Parks, neighborhood houses and streets. My original vision was of a trailer park.

That sounds like a halairious mod xP

A dog "wookiee" would be a groovy addition, but once it gets into new animation territory, it all starts falling apart.

Why not just a general cross over mod?


GOOD VS EVIL
In which various film/video game characters battle it out for supremacy...?

Of course we're currently limited to 5 per side... Unless we have locals and eras for extra playable teams.

So for instance, you could have:

Good Guys:

et cetera

Bad Guys:

.Agent Smith

.The Bad (The Good, the Bad and the Ugly)

It would be a fun mod to make right?

I think it's awesome.

Every other game out there has skins and models from every thing you can imagine. SWBF stayed to just SW (probably because of the obtuse modeling pipeline.)

Someone did that for SWBF2 once, you could play as Elmo, cookie monster, big bird, and something else I can't remember...

GCW cantina is goofy sides like that too, although, Ronald McDonald was the funniest model I saw in that map 8)

That actually sounds like a really fun mod to play. I prefer the Star Wars idea over the general good VS evil. This is definitely a good idea!  :tu:
