Ahead of the re-re-release, we're moving our March event up to Saturday March 9th in order to host another Steam event before the Classic Collection comes out. While steam MP is far from being perfect, it did bring a lot of new players and revived the game.

As always the event will start at 8pm CET/2pm EST.
To make this the biggest event possible we ask each and every one of you to spread the word and to come play of course.

AR are hosting a public event for all players this Saturday on steam. All are welcome and we're starting at 2est/8 German time. Last month we had 17 players on one server so hopefully it will become a regular thing.

Happy New Year everyone. Thanks to all the people that host, support, organise, mod and play battlefront. I'm looking forward to another year of games. 

The last few days I haven't been able to access swbfgamers on pc or my phone which I thought was just because it was down. I tried to play on spy today and that doesn't work either and I haven't changed anything since playing on it last week so I was wondering if it was an issue with my IP or if anyone had other ideas?

I can post this by using 4G on my phone.

We're pleased to announce that starting on the first weekend of July we'll finally be having another tournament. The Battlefront Team Tournament is now open for signups with any players, regardless of ability, welcome to join!

The tournament will be played on SWBFspy to ensure stable servers and organised by AR (Spieler 1 and gdh92) with help from Dark Phantom. Thanks to Joseph for advice and as always Led for this site, hosting SWBFspy and everything else. 

Most of the tournament organisation will take place on the AR discord https://discord.gg/pfGRPThaB7 but you don't need Discord to join.

How it works:
+ For 4 weeks 4 teams will battle across a variety of regular and mod maps to find the champions.
+ For the first 3 weeks you'll battle each of the other teams on two maps from the list of tournament maps below, one you pick and one they pick.
+ To ensure neither side has an advantage you will play both sides with the combined score (reinforcements left) deciding the winner.
+ After these games are complete each week, and to avoid ties, there will be one final match using fairsides (no tanks and special units will be balanced) in a team death match style (no capturing command posts).
+ Every win will give your team 1 point on the overall leaderboard (3 points available per week).
+ Finally on the fourth week will be the grand final. Using the same format  the top two teams will face off for final victory with the other two fighting for third.

Tournament rules:
- Teams must keep a public list of active players which can be added to through the tournament but not have players removed from.
- Chosen planets and eras must be provided to organisers by Wednesday.
- Once a map has been played it will be removed from the list for the following week to encourage variety. All maps will be available for the final week.
- Standard battle times are between 5 and 8PM UK/12 and 3EST on a Saturday (announced by admins) but can be changed if both teams agree. Battles must start within 10minutes of the scheduled time.
- If the server location can't be agreed the lower ranked team will decide or a random location will be used in the event of a tie.
- After 6 players on a team neither team can be outnumbered by more than 1
- Teams can bring as many mercenaries (players not on their list) as they like but the same outnumbering rules apply
- Player count is based on the start of the game.
- Extra players can join late between rounds but not during fighting and the same outnumbering rules apply.
- Screenshots must be taken of all final scores

► Stand on your command post until the start countdown has ended
► No player side gameplay mods
► Server will be set with 3 second invincibility so spawnmines are allowed
► Friendly fire will be Off for conquest and On for team deathmatch

For anyone who hasn't got the latest battlefront game it will be free on Epic games store from the 14th for a week. There's no catches with their free games, you just need the launcher installed and you should see battlefront 2. You can download any time after you add it to your account.

Would it be possible to edit Sleepkillers autoinstaller for steam users? It would make things a lot simpler and in theory everyone with a newish pc should have battlefront in the same location now.

Battlefront 2 is 75% off on origin today. I've finally given in at that price. 

If you're not on discord so don't know now's a good time to come in game. Haven't seen this many on in ages. It's good fun.

Has anyone got this working with battlefront? I can't get it to show up in game in any mode (always recording or manual). It's the latest version I've got.

Just seen that EA are going to limit loot boxes a bit after all the complaints by taking out the best weapons. Hopefully this means the games a bit more balanced for players who don't pay extra.

I'm not sure how others here feel about loot boxes but personally I hate them, I think if they want to sell extras it should only be things like different skins/cosmetic changes and not random either.

On the plus side the DLC is free now and to be honest the game looks alright and says star wars on it so I'll be getting at some point.

SWBFdays are back! If you want to play in big games again without the effort of official tournaments simply make an effort to play on the last Saturday of every month.

There's no special rules, this is just a way to get us all playing together again. Most people will start at 1EST/6GMT but it doesn't matter when you join as players will be around all day depending on their timezone.

Please spread the word to all players active and inactive. There's still hundreds of players of battlefront and with a bit of luck and effort we can busy servers again. 

I'm going to get a new pc soon and with out a lot of effort I can't get windows 7 anymore so for anyone using Windows 10 now - how bad is it?

I've actually heard it's getting better, with a proper desktop now, but does anyone have issues with running old software on it? I've got a lot of specialist stuff and old games that I don't want to lose.

If you have a GOG account (you should ) all their star wars games are discounted for the week including battlefront 2 for £2.09 ($3 dollars I think).
