AR are hosting a public event for all players this Saturday on steam. All are welcome and we're starting at 2est/8 German time. Last month we had 17 players on one server so hopefully it will become a regular thing.

We also play at the same time Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday on steam or spy if anyone wants to join us. It would be nice to see a few more old players back.

Yes, nearly all existing mods were designed for the DVD version. The only difference is a limit of about 20 mod maps in the addon folder for the disk versions.

I've only used the battlefront 1 version but pressing, I think, backspace pauses the game so you won't have sound. The controls are a bit weird with Page up and page down but I think it was only ever meant as a developer tool originally.

The SWBFspy patch on the homepage also includes 1.2. Using any 1.2 patch will mean you can't play on steam servers but there are servers for 1.2 on SWBFspy if you want to play online. Best way to install is to verify files on steam first to restore the game so you can start the install fresh.

Welcome to the site. SWBFspy is the more stable option and better for organised matches but online has also been restored for both the original games if you buy through steam or gog in case you didn't know.

Hi, there's a few players on Steam every day and it's a bit busier this week.
I think US players play Monday evenings on SWBFspy and AR plays Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 7Uk/8German. AR discord is https://discord.gg/yBfGHwppdv

SWBFspy is a replacement multiplayer. If you install it with steam make a copy of your game folder and install spy there so you can play both.

The original multiplayer was shut down so there's two choices now. Steam servers have one full time dedicated server and a few players every night and the SWBFspy patch that's hosted here has more stable servers but there's usually only players at organised times (via discord). Hopefully see you online.

Are you patching steam or disk? With steam I copy the whole battlefront to somewhere else (like desktop) so I can run both and install the patch there. There is an autoinstaller in downloads here. If you manually install make sure you unzip the download.

There's no LAN mode on steam but if you both install the swbfspy patch from here you can play on that. It works with any version but it will replace the steam multiplayer servers.
