That can be tricky.  Some modders don't like to share assets, and may also want to give permission each time they are used.  We do not have many assets here, but I would suggest you try www.Gametoast.com.  The have an asset request thread.

Please give be a detailed description of the problem. Tell me what you changed, what you added and anything else you are trying to do. I'm not calling you stupid or anything, but it's likely that you made a mistake somewhere.

When I finished my map I got on VisualMunge I clicked what I wanted and it MUNGED everything including CTF and Hero Assult when never wanted that gamemode someone please help :help:

right after it munged it gave me a list of errors

Can you show me the munge log?
Also, those modes should only be included if you chose to include them when you first created your world, what you saw munging was probably some backup file of something. Only the modes you wanted will show up ingame.

you can use normal trees and change the color of the leaves to orange, yellow, and other fall colors.

An option file is basically just a txt file with the option as an extension. Basically have the name of the asset you're calling out (that requires said option file you're making) like so... Model_Name.msh.option

It's basically the full name of the asset, with the .option extension. Can be done for .tga or .msh files. Open up some in your BFBuilder\Assets\Shipped Worlds to see more examples.

Can't get enough zombie maps, and there's plenty of great assets for that kind of thing floating around here as well.

Just don't kill yourself trying to get it all done at once, I've done this so many times and ended up scratching a lot of fun projects.

I do not recall any Christophisis maps for swbf. That may be quite easy to do though, as the majority of the buildings on the planet or all boxy and pointy at the top, a rather bland color palette as well. The only real thing you'd have to work on is roads and ai pathing, which would still be easy since most of the map would be flat street anyways.

How about a Race Track set in Endor's woods? I hear that the sound of rebels smashing into trees at high velocity is quite the thriller. Oh gosh that gives me ideas..

You mean destructible CPs like the techno union ships or the shield generator on hoth? If so, those are in the files of their respective worlds.

Actually, there is a special command for trees--something like treegridstack .  SK knows more.

I suggest you look at Yavin Temple for autumn trees.

Perhaps, for making autumn tree, you just need to use some paint editor, for making stock leafs yellow...

And if you mean actual command posts, you have to go into your worlds Common folder, then into the odf's, then look for com_bldg_controlzone or something like that.

And if you mean good command post models, you can pretty much use any model as a cp, just have the controlzone odf reference changed from the little cp model in common.lvl to some other model loaded with the map (I'm pretty sure it doesn't have to be in the same lvl file, so long as it is loaded up in another).

A map based inside of an asteroid field could be really cool if you were able to implement the asteroids in a way that would make the field of battle more dynamic and interesting. Also it would be cool to have starfighters darting through the field of battle with troopers jumping in low gravity or with jetpacks.

If you want to place trees in ZeroEditor, any map with trees in it will have the assets you need. Endor, Yavin IV, Kashyyk, Naboo Plains...

That's actually a pretty good question, as I don't think there have really been any people building foliage out there. Not that I can remember anyway. Would actually be pretty cool to make some higher res, custom ones, but I'd never really though about it.

Try looking through the CIS folder, then try the sites model assets, and if you can't find it here go to GT, they have tons of assets there.

Look, I don't intend to be mean or anything, but I tried to explain this to you earlier, you have to be specific or else no one will understand you. Taking the time to write a detailed request is a lot easier than waiting for us to figure out what you want. Trust me, I've done it, too, I don't feel like writing a whole paragraph, and as a result, everyone gets confused, and then I have to spend even more time trying to explain it. So, please, the next time you write a request, tell us exactly what you want.

That map really dissapointed me.
I didn't know they made one already but now I wish they had done a 200% better job.

I think you need to read more.  There are tutorials all over the place.

The best thing you can learn is how to learn.

Read the instructions, modding guides, then read them again.  Try things.  Then read more.  Then try again and again.


Since we have all gone through this process, we expect that new modders will at least try to go through that process too.  If not, then we just waste our time answering your questions because you will not understand the answer anyway.
