Your best shot probably is to Google the game, and look for results of what other people found.  There's some old site I referenced a while back but I cannot seem to locate your game on it.  Still, Google is invaluable in situations like this.  Otherwise, play with DOSBox more.

Also of note, the setup.exe - especially back in the day - usually holds nothing except the installer.  You could copy and paste the files off of your cd and they would probably work... except the executable to run the game is 16-bit as well, and you will run into the same problem.  And that's where Google comes in, because some people figure out how to get by that using hackity hacky or other methods.

As a last resort you could find an old copy of Windows 98 laying around your house.  I have a Windows 98 cd right over here...

General / Re: Are you Upgrading to Windows 10?
July 30, 2015, 08:26:20 PM
I got the Windows 10 upgrade on my mom's laptop that had 8.1 today (We all despise Windows 8.x here so it was a no-brainer to do it).  I had played around with the Tech Preview and liked what I saw, but I'm not too privy to giving up my Windows 7 yet.  Windows 10 is still a little bit on the quirky side... like my stupid settings menu not working and not being able to completely resize my start menu.  Some people have the issues, some don't.  Still better than having tile-mania come up in my opinion.

I don't think this is accurate.  Do you have a legitimate link?
I don't have a legitimate link, but there was somewhere I read too that said it would keep the Windows.old folder for 30 days and allow you to downgrade.  I checked and the Windows.old folder is definitely still there.  I would be paranoid to revert back though.  Some things may not work exactly as expected.

That only nails in the point harder that you might want to have a dual-boot so you can keep your old OS and have the new one. To me, a month is definetely not enough time. Especially since I've got a somewhat busy schedule (with school and a job).
To dual-boot, you would need to get a separate license.  The free upgrade uses your license for the previous operating system.  Essentially you would have two computers instead of one and then you are dumping approximately $119 US into your computer. (Or pull some strings like me and just get a cheap, legit Windows 8 license and upgrade).

Uxor, opinions are opinions.  Leave this discussion as is.  There have been too many arguments and fights caused over this, and you have been warned.

Like to the mission/battle, or just in general to the side file?
It's relatively the same as SWBF1, with a little different syntax for the mission.  Search around the site and you'll find many instances of this.

SWBF 1 and 2 Tournaments / Re: ICW5 Week 1

In the opening post, it says "All servers are to be hosted by an American host."  The reason for this was because almost all of the servers that are rented are American-based, and the player base seems to be mainly American.  In the past, also, we've noticed that EU servers seem to have more lag for Americans, than EU players playing on an East Coast-based server.  If this is to be changed, we would need someone willing to host an EU server and then a decision made on it.

In short, today's servers are all American.

Wouldn't you just remove it from the lua?  I know that BF2 mission.lua is set up differently, but I'm pretty sure you just remove it from the file.  Or hex it out.

Both videos looked extremely impressive and I cannot wait for this game. :)

SWBF2 Modding / Re: Lightsaber animation help?

I'm no expert or anything on Battlefront 2.  I would make sure that that is EXACTLY what is in Darth Maul's odf, and make sure you have the necessary animations (dmaul, etc.) and necessary msh files.  Also, you seem to be missing a quote after "human_doublesabre cis_hero_darthmaul".

I would recommend joining a team then.  A team like YAK might be the perfect fit if you are unsure of the teams and such.  Not all teams have been finalized yet, so there is still chances to join them.
By the way, welcome!

Pulling out the old Episode 3 game skins there!  Some of those troopers (3 and 4, 1 maybe) showed up in that game and nowhere else, and I've always been disappointed about it. Model 3 was my favorite.

That's a monster of a ship.  That must have been a shocker to have spawn.

Basically they took the domain because they knew EA would want it and plan to charge them a lot of money to get that domain.
