Honestly I thought it was pretty boring. Woody harlson seemed pretty underutilized. I know its the han solo show but idk, like woody's character is just kinda there & I feel  he was wasted/unmemorable. Chewbacca is ok, got a nice bit of lore for him, lando is ok, Q'ra is ok, han solo is ok....basically a lot of decent not great plot if you would call it that. The han solo actor still hasn't grown on me, I wish they used that other guy that portrayed a younger harrison ford from age of adiline.(Its that guy that did that harrison ford han solo impression on youtube if you know who im talking about).




One thing this movie could have done with out is L7 and her SJW bantha fodder almost every time she was on screen. Like I get it, men is evil, EQUAL RIGHTS, BLAH blah, WOMEN ARE STRONG, why should I take orders from a male mentality. Wow did I feel like that message was shoved right in my ear, thanks L7. And to make her part of the millennium falcon....why would you do this writers? I mean really why was that needed? I cant even...that was basically the bul gallot scene for this movie(That scene in rogue one with the weird hentai squid thingy, something we didn't need.) I personally can't wait until a fan edit of this film comes outs and cuts some of that out. That's not to say I dont like female characters because I found Liea, Padme and ashoka to be pretty well established/respectable women in star wars. I enjoy those characters becuase they dont whine about what they dont have, they go and do their thing and get stuff done.

I could give Ron Howard the benefit of the doubt and say that you know what this film switched directors and things were changed, maybe that's why it feels like its everywhere. But then again they kept L7 and recently made a big deal about lando being "pan sexual" outside of the film. Its not apparent in the film, but outside of the film one of the writers of the movie said this about lando's character, like why was this needed information, Why did I need to know that at all?! Does it add anything to lando knowing he wants to bang a robot? that he is attracted to men,women,children,aliens, a toaster? (I looked up pansexual, that's basically what it means...) To me lando was a lady's man but what do I know.

I think a lot of us here already were somewhat familiar with han's origin from the comics and books. Han gets his ship from lando, chewbacca swears a life debt to han, kessel less than 12 pareseccs , point A to point B. Basically this movie is converted from some legends sources done in an UN-interesting way except with sjw agenda on the side, with a rather UN-apealing set of characters and unmemorable villains and one surprise that probably is the only thing remotely interesting about this film. If you liked the film, more power to you and good for you for seeing more good in it than I did.

I am by no means a director, but if I was in some alternate universe , I would have made the kessel run the climax of the film, making the feat more important and focused mostly on Han and chewbacca's relationship  and on how it develops minus woody harrison's character, lando and q'ra getting in the way. This is by no means a horrible film that ruins my childhood and I appreciate the easter eggs here and there. But it could have had a better direction, minus some of the boring stuff, this movie can be very enjoyable at times.

I noticed when extracting some models, it will crash if you use some of the extracted ones. I know it's not perfect but does anyone have any tips on how they have fixed this problem?

I dont have this problem and its a fresh install.

*In refference to another issue someone pointed out about the wii stormtrooper assets sometime ago, if used in battlefront 2, when you run you can see the black leather msh come in and out of the white armor msh from the back side. You problay wouldn't notice this issue in your mod becuase battlefront 1 doesnt have running. This is unrelated to the issue your reffering to, just thought I would point this out.

Most excellent! I was actually going to use rogue knight's version but these fit the bill quite nicely. The model work and variations look great! I hope to see the carbine versions soon.

It should be mentioned that some players are experiencing issues getting the multiplayer up if your using mods like evolved or anything changing the vanilla levels. I just experienced that today & had to revalidate my files on steam.

Ive been using BF1 models for some BF2 projects and upgraded their textures to have more detail on them. I would be more than happy to donate them if you can find use for them, also unit33 and givev have some Bf1 assets with textures that look much better at least for some units. It would be easy enough to essentially fit bf2 textures onto the bf1 ones, like have different parts be patched on through photoshop so that you can have the texture quality of the BF2 oneson the bf1 if that makes any sense. I could also send you a sample of what that would look like.

I use both swbf2spy and the disney/gog exe. SWBFspy lets you host campaign missions and other game modes the gog update currently doesnt not.

The sounds effects are top notch and I was pleasantly surprised to her some of the new audio files for the rebel alliance.  The new models for vehicles work really well and the hero assault map is quite interesting and fun.

Something that seemed a little odd was the astromech droid model placement. At least where the feet are supposed to meet the ground, the model seems to be hovering/levitating above the ground just a tad. I think moving the camera above the field of view away from where you can see the feet would make it look better. Its really not a big huge deal, just a small suggestion.

I really like what you have achieved with the flamethrower. I know sereja had one in his polar express map, but the way you handled the effects and the way it works looks much better in that regard.

I think the detpack does not work as well as it should and that's not your fault. I think the way it is right now doesn't work as intended or is a little unconventional since the ai also doesn't use it like you probably intended it to.(Like the ai will use it as a mine and since it doesn't detonate unless you set another one, most of the time the detpack will blow up if an ai unit decides to place around the perimeter or its hard to use it yourself if your trying to blow someone up) Ive tried to use it and while I see the work around you had to make it pretty similar to the battlefront 2 version, I don't think its quite there yet. I think you would probably be better off making a new mine or grenade based on the EA iteration and at least that way its easier to use/make, plus the ai would use that better I would think.

I understand using the han solo animation for pistols is very popular now, its just my personal opinion that it looks a little odd. That doesn't take away from the mod, its just a personal gripe with mods that use that pistol animation. :XD: unrelated btw.

I think you have a really good project on your hands and the gameplay for the most part works pretty well. I noticed going with the assault classes is preferable since they have rapid fire weapons and sometimes it is a little overpowered since you can get more kills that way, at least from the way Ive been playing. I think decreasing the fire rate just a tad would help. It's good to see free radical models find life in other games and if I could give any other suggestions, it's that the texture quality seems to vary compared to the free radical models and the pandemic models. The pandemic character model textures are a little outdated and in the future could benefit from a good hi-resolution/different texturing so that all the models are coherent (Just meaning that everything looks consistent visually.)

I think if you wanted to go the extra mile, eventually maybe all the units can get new voice lines. Not necessarily from dice's games but from other games to if you had wanted to. clonetrooper163 who did the swbf3 model ripping I think has a channel in which he gets various voice lines from different star wars games and uploads as one video, you might find it useful. https://www.youtube.com/user/clonetrooper163/videos He has some for soldiers from the force unleashed and they sound pretty good.

Contrary that is a very handy way to use this tool and it is pretty neat how many functions it has. I can see someone using this to get those custom animation files for kit fisto and assaj ventress from that official DLC battlefront 2 had for the xbox. It could be cool to see how those files function since they had extra bits of animation.

Someone mentioned the idea of sound un-mugning and while that is also a nifty idea, I think it would just be easier to find that desired sound or better yet, turn down all the audio settings in battlefront except the fx sounds, use a screen recorder that records sound, record the sound, convert the desired sound into a wav format and just munge that into your sound file. Though I do see the voice lines being something that people would have a hard time trying to extract individually using the method I suggested.

Maybe someone can do something of a step by step? At first I was against this tool, but if it means modders can revisit earlier work that assets got erased, maybe its not so bad. I know I would like to unmunge one of my earlier mods to get a weapon odf I made that I was never quite sure what I did with.
