Hello. I haven't been able to host a game in the past two weeks. Neither can my friends who are all local (Toronto Canada area) All that happens when they try to join one of the games we created is it counts and eventually times out.
We had this issue before with the previous people who ran this type of hosting/server setup and it was only after they made a change/reboot/refreshed their system did things get back to normal. Hopefully you can look into this for me.
Thanks you and hope to hear from you.
Terry
Hi Terry,
Thanks for the PM. I will reboot the server tomorrow morning or sooner if I can. Please let me know one way or the other if it works out.
I dont have this problem -- just checked.
Does anyone else have it ?
Me and a couple friends have been having issues hosting servers as well for SWBF2 the last few weeks. The server starts fine but nobody can join, and like the OP said, just times out if we wait. However this has been off and on, only occurring sometimes.

Did u forward the ports ?
Can you try it now and see? Also, if you can be more specific on when this started it may provide some clues.

Port forwarding? We've never had to do that in the past, so no, we haven't.

This started around mid-late January. We just tried it and it worked, but like I said its hit and miss so we'll see if it keeps behaving. If it happens again I'll post here :) Hope the OP's problem is fixed!

If you are behind a firewall and use SWBFspy, you will need to set up portforwarding so your router knows where to send the game packets. The has always been the case even when using Gamespy. Nothing changed with the master server in January.
