Aye up all.  In a fit of nostalgia I gave SWBF1 a run using SWBFspy.exe.  I get an error message "the program can't start because binkw32.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem"

I'm using windows 7. My game is loaded outside of program files (c:Starwars\gameData) and the dynamic link library file is present in the Game data folder.  The only way I can get the exe to work is by re-extracting it from the zip and putting a new copy in the gamedata folder every time I want to play. Does anyone know how to get rid of this annoying problem?

Hi Roland,

Good to see you around.

That's an issue I have not heard before.  Did you do an install from a disk or did you copy the game folder over from somewhere?

Don't believe everything you read on the internet

Aye up & happy new years.

Did the original install from the disk. Then obviously to version 1.2. Then to gamemaster. Then to the no CD patch. Then to SWBF spy.  Maybe I should do a clean install.....

clean out that virtual store is the only thing I can think of
