Nonetheless, a good texture pack would really make that map shine.

No can do, since I only have the Minceraft Demo for PC. I do have the full game on Xbox 360, but I don't have a credit card to make any transactions for anything...even if its free. Having a credit card would mean that I'd need to get a job, something I currently don't have.

Videos and Screen Shots / Kamino in Minecraft
June 16, 2015, 07:16:27 AM
I made a video of a map I made in Minecraft. Its based off of Kamino in Lego Star Wars: The Video Game, so don't expect it to be like Battlefront.

Let me know what you think. Warning! The sound is a tad bit loud.  :apesmall:

The only problem you have described is (potentially) the model flip problem.

How about starting over and describing your problem in detail and include screen shots so everyone can understand what the issue is.  In this late stage of modding for SWBF, there are not many modders that will take requests, so you are best sticking with your original idea of figuring things out and making your own maps.

It may be more efficient to show you what the problem is. Click here to see what I did exactly, and if you can pinpoint the problem, please let me know.

By the way, the FlipModel X = 1 was in every config.ini I saw, not just the one in the DataMod1 folder.

If it is in there, then you should not have that problem.

So...is it impossible for me to create/edit a map if there is no known reason why the BFBuilder doesn't work?

I suppose if that's the case, I could just make requests to people what kind of map I'd suggest making. I don't want to resort to that, as I have what I'd consider a neat idea for a BF1 map.

Just as phobos mentioned, open the config.ini (use notepad) and add that line.  If you cannot see the config.ini file, then you need to enable viewing of system files and folder.

You can have local teams, but only two teams can be playable.

Please explain this to me as though you are talking to a 4 year old. I opened the config.ini inside DataMod1 and was going to add FlipModelX = 1 at the bottom, and it was there.

I couldn't follow Phobos's intructions of the second issue, because I wasn't able to find that code anywhere in BFBuilderPro.hta when I opened it with notepad. Does it look exactly the way Phobos has it, or do I have to go and find each line (its a problem since there's more than one of the same line)

To answer your BFbuilder issue (at least what I can tell of it), set the FlipModelX flag.
Also, in SWBF you can't have three sides, just two sides and some local teams.

How do I set the FlipModelX flag? When I said 3 sides, the third side I meant was the local team. Is it possible to make a mod where you can play as the local team as well as the two main teams?

Whenever I try to create a new map or edit a pre-existing one, this happens.

I want to create my own map with 3 sides, and I have really neat ideas, but I have a feeling that nobody would want to do it for me so I was going to try and do it myself. I cannot do this if the  :censored: editor won't work!

Released Maps and Mods / KommissarReb's Map Reviews

Star Wars Battlefront Custom Map Review

Map Quality Ratings Are As Follows:
{1} {2} {3}  >:( {4}  {5} {6}  :g: {7} 8) {8}  :3rd: {9} :tu: {10}

My review list style is based off of that of Ryanoceros, so I credit him for the idea. Just keep in mind that the initial list will only contain custom maps that I chose to play. If, (and that's a big if) I want to, I might review maps that people request me to review. Just don't get cranky if I give it a low score, because the reviews I give are based on my opinion of them. I will try to be fair, but I usually give points for originality or intrigue.

I will try to make my list in alphabetical order based on the filename of the map...

File Name  ----------  Map Name ----------------------- Quality & Comments
______________________________________________________________

010 -------- Death Star: Interior (1.0) --------------- {9}  :tu:  The best Death Star map I've seen so far, the Death Star map from SWBF2 converted to BF1 with awesome sides.
______________________________________________________________

018 -------- Nar Shaddaa: Vertical City --------------- {10}   The only Nar Shaddaa map I was able to find. Great graphics, models, sides...everything about it makes it a winner!
______________________________________________________________

abr1 ----------- Abridon: City (Final) ---------------- {6} :g: What makes this map worth getting is the Blue police (based on Naboo Royal Guards) forces that side with the Clones & Rebels. They spawn from 1 building. Sadly, you can't play as them :(
______________________________________________________________

:rtfm: This is not the end of the list. I am unable to finish it ATM, but later it will be updated :rtfm:

I'm not asking for anything that elaborate, but what about something like this, just in BF1? Just skip to 15:34 in the video, and you'll see what I'm talking about.

As far as Star Wars Battlefront goes, my favorite indigenous species is split between the Wookiees, Tusken Raiders, Naboo Royal Guards, and Gammorrean Guards. But if we are talking about Star Wars in general, I'd say my favorite are the Geonosians.

I like the Geonosians probably because I read the book; Boba Fett: A Fight To Survive and played Star Wars: Republic Commando. I think that some things about them are cool like their sonic blasters, elite beam weapons, taste in fighter design, and the fact that after the Clone Wars they side with the Rebels (at least in Empire At War).

Most people bash the Gungans not because they disdain each individual Gungan, but they do it just because they don't like Jar-Jar. But the other Gungans banished him, so why would you?! I like the Gungans for their extensive knowledge of shields and electromagnetic energy-based weapons. The other Naboo species is the Naboo Guards, and I have yet to see a map that lets you play as them. I have a mod installed that switched the clones with the Royal Guards in the Theed map, but I'd rather not be replacing files.

Jawas and Tusken Raiders were both once the same species that were enslaved by the Rakata millennia prior to the events of Episode I. After the Rakata, the Jawas become more open to trade and commerce, while the Tusken Raiders adopt traits similar to both Native Americans and Jihadists. I like the Tuskens in this game because they are one of the few indigenous forces that actually pose a threat.

The Gamorrean Guards are the only representation of the Black Sun Pirates/Jabba's Hutt Cartel armed forces that came with the game. In Jabba's Palace, they were only 3 spawning at a time. I liked the Attack of the Piggies map because they actually posed a threat instead of a minor nuisance.

Ewoks are pretty much useless in Battlefront, and having snipers vs ewoks is insanely unbalanced. How about Stormtroopers armed only ith Blaster Rifles vs Ewoks instead? Or if you do an Endor map where you play as Ewoks, make it so you have Rebel allies so you don't get whooped.

Wampas, IMO are...meh

Wookiees kick bottom! They are the only Indigenous force you can play as! (Rocket Launcher & Pilot variants excepted) I did find a map that was the Kashyyyk islands map where its Wookiees vs SBD's, and I got to play as the two other types of Wookiees you normally cannot play as.

Rancors have lots of potential in this game. They're fun to mess around with in Jedi Academy though. I found them to be an interesting species, especially the few that can actually talk! (from Dathomir of course)

Sorry for the late post :P

I've been playing around with Republic Commando lately, and I was wondering if there were any maps for BF1 (can't get BF2 to work sadly) that had Geonosian Warriors and Geonosian Elites with their beam cannons. I know in some of kitfisto15678's maps (http://starwarsbattlefront.filefront.com/developer/kitfisto15678;36158) Geonosians had purple sniper rifles that can be charged up and fired like the beam rifles in BF2, but I don't get the same vibe since the beam isn't big and fiery and that it comes from a non geonosian-looking gun.

So are there BF1 maps out there that have Geonosians that have their Pikes, Sonic Blasters, and their Elite Beam Weapons?

QuoteThe issue is that there may be 20 reviews in a post.  I am looking into an image gallery mod.

Well, I don't think anyone will have to worry because I tend to cherry-pick what maps I d/l & play. The only maps I'm interested in playing are map that either have what I'd consider to be "staying power" (reason for me to keep the map), and there aren't many of those.

QuoteThe pictures were hosted on a mac.com site, that is now defunct.  If you have the desire to update the reviews, you are welcome to work on them--just let me know and I will copy the information in a location that you can edit it.

Reviews for individual maps, or Ryanoceros' reviews? If I have info to add about a map, then I make a review, send it to you, and you can put it in if there was little or no information about the map?

I'd add pictures, but for some reason I can't seem to be able to take screenshots of any kind on the computer I'm using. I've tried pressing F11, F12, Prt Screen, Alt+Print Screen & Ctrl V (paint) and nothing seems to work.
#104
Yep, it is. As much as I like how there are maps here you can't find on FileFront, the descriptions don't always tell you what to expect, and its pretty opinionated. No pictures, but I can live with that.

I'm having issues trying to link my Steam account (http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198121091523) with the icon on my profile. I tried putting the huge number in, but it didn't work. Can anyone help?
