MOD - "Please insert CD 1" error - BF2_modtools

Hi,
I'm a beginner. I want to use BF2_modtools to follow a tutorial. The problem is, I got the following error : "Please insert CD 1". But I bought the game on steam. I don't have a CD. Anyone ever had the same problem ?

BF2_modtools.exe isn't even the mod tools, it's just a debugger game version.

The actual mod tools is various other things, like visualmunge (to start and compile a new mod) and zeroeditor (to edit a new mod's map)

Yes but I need the debug version right ?

You only need the debugger if your mod is crashing so you can get an error log. The no-CD debugger is somewhere on gametoast.
