Title: [HELP] unit movement--server side moddable?
Post by: Led on July 16, 2010, 08:58:15 PM
Hi MPCers,

I was playing one of Napseekers mods, and some of his units were moving very quickly.

Is there a chance that this can be server-side modded, so that players can move quickly without
the need for a download?

If so then I will be here to play and test. I have come close to seeing what you described while in some servers.

Really, the only way to figure out if something is server-side or not is to mod it and see for yourself. The game does not check on a lot of things, which is why the minimap hack works and why some mods work online.

Could the load lvl creator made by battle belk make this possible? Could it be used so that the server doesn't check if the speed is a factor that will crash other people that join? Does anyone know what is exactly checked by the game and why the minimap hack works?

In theory, I think that's something that can't be changed server side. Like what JK said, the only way is to use the lvl creator by Battlebelk and find out.

I though I had a load lvl creator.
