Title: [HELP] Enabling Polgons With Vent Holes
Post by: Epifire on July 09, 2010, 04:42:09 PM
I am using Softimage, and can't seem to find a way to get the bespin floor grid textures to have the vent holes. Its hard to put into words, but I can't make the polygon surface have the grid that you can see through.

you'll have to hex edit it to enable transparency or just make it a lill more high poly and actually give it vents.

Gametoast has a tutorial for enabling transparency in the SWBF2 forum, it should also work in SWBF1.

If you're still having trouble creating vents, I'll work step by step with you on it.

Oh ok. I guess that I just need to find out how to get transparency to work in xsi. I got it to work in 3D Wings one time, and don't know how I did.  ???

From my info, if you have a tga enabled with a alpha channel, it will then be a texture usable for transparency? If I could find some place to re-dowload gimp again I think I could do that.
