SWBF2 Modding / Re: new Era need help
November 07, 2023, 03:46:04 PM
Hello,
I'd highly recommend posting code directly here so that people can provide better support. Is the new era created in SIDE files? Where is it linking? Is mission file modded to include it?

SWBF2 Modding / Re: Downloadable Maps
October 22, 2023, 02:23:03 PMQuote from: drbob76 on October 22, 2023, 11:57:35 AMIs there a way to edit downloadable maps, like the SWBF1 maps made by Marvel4, like editing scripts and munging, or can you only do that with the default maps.If assets were released, yes. Else, if you're quite experienced, you can always hexedit

Besides, it asks for your local SWBF folder. Maybe you chose another location? Just tested and it did work for me.

Looks like some mod you have installed is the cause of the issue. Use the default files and see if the problem lies there

SWBF1 Modding / Re: How to edit units revised

Hey there!
Know that we attempt to check the forums daily and if you do not get a reply it is because the task that has been asked for is not done.
Requesting the same thing over and over will lead to most of us ignoring your thread and therefore ignoring your replies.
If Led did not reply to the thread there's no need for us to justify our time or why we're not replying. This is not a business but a public place for support, so he has all the rights to ignore a thread if he is not ready to reply or didn't come up with the request -- note that we might have a real-life project ongoing that might require to be prioritized.
Hope you come up with a solution and share it with everyone here.

Good night drbob,
SWBFGamers is a forum where you can find many tutorials to follow step-by-step and gain expertise by testing. We're not a modding school, so we can't be 24/7 checking on your progression. Most of us learned modding by reading tutorials and testing, which is the key to project development.
I'm sorry, but knowing Led as much as I do, I bet he couldn't prepare a specific video for a reason, but I recommend you avoid creating new threads for the same questions because they might not get a reply. Instead, read all the tutorials we have and figure out why you got stuck on what you're trying to build.

General / Re: Memories on the Battlefront

Agreed! I think this game has given us all a lot of joy and great memories. Hopefully, in the near future, I'll make it to one of the SWBF1 events to enjoy the game as I did 10 years ago.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2005 Original) / Re: Dedicated server performance very bad, any improvements I can make?
January 03, 2023, 04:52:11 PM
Hey! Keep us posted on the coming up tests, but IMO I wouldn't say the server should be lagging with those specs (independently of the OS).
I'd also look at the taskmgr to see what resources are being used: Memory + CPU usage and see if background ups are the root cause of the problem as could be background windows updates or the antimalware service.
