Is Taris from a Star Wars thing or is this going to be a map from some other movie thing or something like Halo or SG-1 like how they made a map for SWBF2 from one of the SG-1 series??

You may be able to find some KotOR assets but be warned: BioWare has been known to be somewhat stingy with their models. But I don't doubt you can make customs if you can't get the officials. Good luck :tu:

So are there very protective about there assets ???
Don't use anything from KotOR unless there's no other models for it. You might be able to get away with using a few textures or sounds, but not models. Long story short, it's a copyright issue. The only reason we don't get sued for modding in because we follow their rules. You'll find a bunch of safe models and skins of KotOR things HERE (http://www.gametoast.com/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=12991). There's also some HERE (http://jkhub.org/files/), but they need to be converted because they were made for Jedi Academy.

You can use SWF2 models in SWBF1. We do it all the time.
