Jazz asked Red if he can play games without the DVD in the drive. Red says it is illegal and locks the topic. I'm too lazy to quote the topic so I'll just link to it.

I'd like to correct Red, playing the game without the disk legally is possible. However, he is correct that it is illegal to send any images of games to anyone else and that you are entitled to make a backup copy for your own purposes.

Now you ask, how is this possible? With Toast Titanium (it's pretty cheap now, buy a copy ASAP), it's very easy!
A while back I posted a VERY easy to follow tutorial here: http://www.mpcgamers.com/smf/index.php?topic=662.0

Once you've made a backup copy of all of the games you have desired, all you have to do to right click them and click on the words "Mount It". Once that is done, the computer will think the DMG file you have is an actual DVD in your drive. The game won't know the difference so you'll be able to enjoy it without having to fumble with all of your disks.

The only disadvantage of DVD emulation is that it's Hard Drive Space consuming. If you have the space to spare, you should be fine.

it isnt illegal to play a game without the disc. Thats what i do for Call of Duty 2 and 4 and they both work for multiplayer.
