What used to be on the other end of the mirrored download link has been deleted. So, I need to remove the mirrored link on the download page. How do I edit the download page?

Figured it out several years later.  :slap:

I wonder what a bit of "Diplomacy" to them, for lack of a better word, could bring back to this website...

Nice edit, Anyder ;)

If you need to, you can remove my "NEW English Instructions" thread

Are we going to try to make as many different language versions of SWBFSpy as we did for Gamemaster? I'm willing to help, but I myself am only fluent in English.

Led: oh
Nativ ulqui_: yeah
Nativ ulqui_: allright!!!
Nativ ulqui_: fixed it ;D
SWBFSpy|Anyder: awesome
Nativ ulqui_: it was indeed a prob with the headset mic
SWBFSpy|Anyder: thanks for telling us, hopefully it will help other people ;)
Nativ ulqui_: when it doesnt recognize the external audio, the game just crashs
Nativ ulqui_: I plug my headset and it worked
Nativ ulqui_: let's play then ^^
Led: ah, nice
Led: glad it works!
Led: weird bug, though :)
SWBFSpy|Anyder: happens a lot with swbf2, there are a lot of problems with audio stuff

Does that have anything to do with the Stereo Mix device you have to activate under the Recording tab in your sound settings? I know on older computers, SWBFII would crash if that device wasn't active, and I had speakers plugged in. On Windows 10, it comes automatically activated, but is there a chance his is deactivated?

That would be an older Dx version and he doesnt wanna downgrade in case he's not able to play newer games
disks

Very true. I really had not considered that.

With Win10, it could very well be the updated DirectX. I wonder, if he used the Disk version, did he choose to install DirectX version that comes with the BFII install? (that may be automatic but I don't recall)

* Thanks to all those who gave their time and expertise to making the new servers.

*Will the new servers be linked to the SWBFG site to give an indication of who is currently playing?

Gametracker will soon catch up to the new servers, and our Gametracker widgets are still on the homepage of this site, but you may have to scroll down a ways to find them on the Right sidebar.
The leaderboards have unfortunately been reset, but I guess that's means to try to get to the top before someone else does!

Hello, you wonderful battlefronter! Yes, you! No doubt you've heard that the Multiplayer on the Internet has been restored but you are wondering what needs to be done to get your game back on.
Well, you're in luck because it's really quite simple! Star Wars Battlefront Multiplayer over the Internet no longer uses GameSpy as a host.
Instead it uses SWBFSpy. All you have to do is download a new Battlefront.exe and put it into a specific folder.

What folder, you ask? Easy! Your Battlefront game is in your LucasArts folder.
C:\ProgramFiles\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront\GameData
GameData! That's the folder! Move your new exe into there.

Where do you get this new exe? Right here at SWBFgamers.com!

SWBFSpy Battlefront EXE (CLIENT) (Download this one!)

SWBFSpy Battlefront EXE (CLIENT AUTOINSTALLER)

SWBFSpy Battlefront EXE (SERVER)

If this tutorial looked familiar, Yes, it was a merge of the Gamemaster English tutorial and pieces of the SWBFspy Patched EXE's topic by Anyder.

Earlier this week, my new Cooling Pad was delivered to me. For $20 USD, it's been excellent. Very lightweight, sturdy, has 4 fans with adjustable speeds, kickstands... It's just awesome! :tu:

The brand is called "Tree New Bee". All I know about them is this cooling pad of theirs was #1 seller on Amazon for cooling pads. Indeed, it has been well worth my $20 bill to keep my laptop cool.
