Quote from: AnthonyBF2 on June 18, 2022, 02:35:18 AMYou'll have to mod the game, you have two methods of making the heroes die like soldiers:

1) In each character ODF file, add FleeLikeAHero = 0

or

2) In each mission script, after ScriptPostLoad() add this command and repeat the command for each ODF class name

SetClassProperty("rep_inf_example_trooper_name", "FleeLikeAHero", "0")

Okay, I did this, but it's not working.

Quote from: AnthonyBF2 on August 21, 2022, 11:35:34 AMVisualmunge is a janky useless program. If you edit MUNGE.bat (located in the same folder) you can munge your mod without that type of nonsense, but you'll have to copy all the addon files directly.
What do you mean? What should I do when I open it? What should i edit. Also what do you mean copy all the addon files directly?

Quote from: Led on August 21, 2022, 03:34:48 PMthat helps.  Check your REQ file.  You are missing a bracket.  I know that you have already read that error, but track it back though the file.
Did you edit or create your own REQ file?

Also, make sure the location of your mod tools is a folder name *without* and spaces, e.g. "SWBFmodtools"  is OK, but "Program Files SWBF mod tools"  is not.

I tried it, but it's not working, it just wants me to put more brackets where they already exist. My mod tools folder has a _ instead of space so no spaces. I haven't edited any REQ files, I just copied and pasted the alliance side ones.

Quote from: Led on August 21, 2022, 06:01:18 AMcan you post the munge error?

Okay, so now I got there to actually be stuff in the LVL PC by using the 'visa munge fix', however, it crashes my game when loading my map or even when replacing none modified sides with the original ones, there's something weird going on, I do get this error though:

ERROR[levelpack all.req]:Expecting bracket, but none was found.

Where do I find the ODF files? Sorry I'm new! <3

So in the cutscenes of Knightfall, it shows the Jedi's falling when killed by Anakin, but in game they don't, is there a mod to make it so Jedi's as well as maybe Jedi Heroes fall when killed?

Quote from: Dark_Phantom on February 15, 2021, 05:04:55 AMIt's hard coded in the executable, not in any of the files that we can see.
So no, we don't have a way of quantifying what Elite Training does.
This is all I wanted to hear! Someone did know! Please understand that all it takes is to say something like this, this forum is basically dead, and people don't ask for much.

Quote from: Red04 (CC-4398) on February 14, 2021, 03:01:31 PMIn GC mode, Elite Training means your units receive advanced training and become more accurate. In part you are right at this point: they should target and shot more precisely during the battle. But maybe you don't notice that when playing in Hard difficulty.

Try Easy or Medium difficulty, maybe you can appreciate that difference more than once.
Surely there's something in the files that shows to what extent the affect kicks in?

For example, when editing map files, the difficulty modes have different settings, with hard having the COM on 2 and the players team on 0.

Quote from: Led on February 14, 2021, 05:37:57 AMBluetothestars, you can behave better than this.  Consider this an informal warning.

If there is answer, then no one has the answer.  Search the forum and if there is no answer from the past then figure it out for us and then post the answer to share with us all.
sorry Led  :'(

SWBF1 Modding / Re: Jedi Block as a shield?
February 14, 2021, 04:08:24 AM
Quote from: Led on January 23, 2021, 05:43:23 AMWell, maybe he can give the jedi an invisible deka shield and then have the jedi flail his arms about for effect.
Sorry for the bump, but would this be possible?

Thanks so much for the help any pc modders that saw this, knew the answer yet decided not to respond.

I play on hard mode basically all the time, and I don't really notice my troops getting any more accurate than usual when I use Elite Training in GC.

Can any modders that know a lot of the internal aspects of the game tell me exactly what happens with Elite Training? Does it ramp up the players team AI to medium mode or something? It still doesn't feel that way considering one enemy can take out 5 - 7 allied troops easily on hard mode still.
