That will be interesting! With grenades and all. It'll have mega lag though if people have water quality on high. :shrug:

Wouldn't they just put it on low then?

Minimum settings ftw.

Shallow water dampens splash damage too, so it'll make rocket spam harder.

I've also redone the Orbital Strikes.
1. You only get 1-2 targeting devices to use for the unit that has them. And no, you can't refill on them from health/ammo droids. Only when you respawn/get an ammopack.

2. It's no longer a flying beacon that you try to launch at an opponent or the ground. It's aslightly larger targeting device that you throw and it bounces realistically like a grenade, and it will stick to vehicles

3. It no longer sends a giant laser of death coming down at you from the sky.
Depending on the faction one of these is the result:
Republic and Alliance-A few seconds suspenseful silence, and suddenly it's raining proton bombs. Very innaccurate but lots of splash damage.

Empire and CIS-it sends either a few vehicles on a suicide mission (like a TIE fighter or a Trifighter) bearing down on where the beacon is placed.

They could but a lot of people play swbf on highest graphical settings...

What's even more awesome is if you launch and stick a beacon on a jedi with a deflecting lightsaber. It can deflect the incoming fighter (which is really set up as a missile that uses the aircraft's model and exhaust effect). It looks...so epic.

I really hate how the Dark Troopers (both of 'em) show up in their lowrez models almost always. If this becomes too much of an issue I may have to heavily tweak (as a last resort) them to conform to the game's model memory limits.

New Vehicle for extended Tatooine map, Armored sandcrawler. It's a command vehicle for the jawas and/or Tuskens.  I'm trying to piece together an odf so that people can spawn in the closed-off "room" inside of it (Model edited/made by FragMe!)

That camera angle will definetely make things much easier to see. not to high off character and i can still view my surroundings. love it. BTW, one request: If It's not too much, an u also make a 2nd person camera angle (like in Dead Space) that has it's own seperate button to the side? That would be epic. :P

Don't think thats entirely possible to do a second person perspective. Game has its limits. 1st person is fine the way it is, third person is what I changed.

Isn't second person (in terms of gaming) from the perspective of another person watching the player?

Dead Space is 3rd person, they just positioned the camera to the left-ish.. right?

1st Person - You are the main guy.
2nd Person - You are a guy watching the main guy.
3rd Person - You are a floating omniscient presence watching the main guy.

You may be right, but Dead Space is classified to be in 2nd person. So I jsut went off that assumption for a moment to give a little visual on what i was asking for. but it doesnt matter now :P

1. How does someone get time to do this.
2. How on earth did you think up all this skins.
3. How in heavens name did you get all the msh files, name everything, and decide where its going to go inside the mod....
4. How much time you must have spent learning how to mod everything your going to include in this mod.

1. I had a week in the summer where I got sick and stayed home that week. So I decided to mod. I started things and edited them as I went along

2-3: Gametoast has some very good modelers such as DEVISS, AQT, and IceMember. They make awesome models. The site also has some great archives of clone skins (credits to ARC_commander, Satti, and THEWULFMAN)

I took the clone-stormtrooper base skin (by deviss), blew it up 8x (from 512x512 to 4096x4096), embossed it, adding in some miniscule details, some levels edits, and then shrunk it back down to appropriate size (1024x1024)

So I've done something that many will find sacrilegious - I removed the droideka from the cis side.

-Unless it had its shield up, I (and most ai) got killed within a matter of seconds while playing.
-In ball/driving mode, it was too vulnerable
-And with the shield, it was basically a turret that could move very, very slowly.

That is not to say the droideka's completely gone, I'm keeping it as an nonplayble unit for maps that make sense to feature it (like geonosis or mos eisley)

Finally! A modder who is bold enough to remove the Deka! I'm actually excited to see what you come up with. Every single CW mod from SWBFI to SWBFII uses the deka and it makes it feel like they didn't spend any time on the CIS side.

Looks mot impressive, good use of models. That geonosis map with the prop at-at's on the ground looks epic. Great Level design as far as I can tell.

I've often thought that those crashed AT-ATs had a better skin then the vehicular and functional AT-ATs...

I like the new screenshots! Everything looks very nice. My only "complaint" is that the IMP heavy trooper skin doesn't really fit with the rest of the mod. It looks kind of messy. :confused:

Other than that I'm hyped for this mod!

Jdee could you tell how do you make thouse blue lines behind the flyers?Just like on the screenshot with the Cis Maf gunship.Its really cool.Please explaine me how to do this. :D

Those are actually rockets the the gunship fires. the effect is from ggctuk's main play mod assets.

Pretty good^ now that I'm back

Here is a slightly retouched (all I did was add a vignette circle like you see on instagram) of a particularly nice shot from Ginev's Morishim map that years ago he sent me for this mod. I've added stormtrooper legions on some maps however they are not "randomized" and neither are the clone legions. It didn't produce the most aesthetically pleasing results most of the time. I think this shot would make a nice promo poster. The legion skins are mostly from Satti and DarthDUCK's skinpacks.

Heh cool!~Have in mind that i now can convert/make new models for BF1/2.You can search in the Release Assets section for models that you can use if you are making some maps. :)
