It's basically the remains of a large temple spread over a long plain, through a small forest, over a lake and to an island connected by a long bridge

These trees are a problem, though.

I'm trying to do Kamino myself. And Gogo12 gave me his Dagobah and Felucia maps to use (not exact conversions but rather his custom ones that are just as awesome).

Yes I really like his Dagobah and Felucia maps, well lets just say it, all of gogo12 maps are awesome!!
Hey why don't we give him his own section in the maps category of the D/l's?  :D

That speeder is great! I've only seen it used a couple of times for some reason. Come on! It's a Speederbike with a rotating turret!

I guess, it's called "lightspeeder".
Those "black bird-shaped things" is realy birds. You just forget add skins for them.

Gogo12's Take on Bespin Platforms.

Still to do: make the sky/lighting more..."bespin-y", fix cw era lua so vehicles spawn

The one bug in the map itself: This ramp. My pet peeve.

Another question, why don't you use sleepkiller's Jedi temple and Utapau conversions?

Post by: jdee-barc on October 28, 2012, 08:29:53 PM
So While I'm fixing problems with the GCW sides I came up with some game modes

1. Survival. It's different from SleepKiller's survival mode for his mod

Premise: There was an outbreak of a virus on a planet the rebels/empire were fighting over, infecting the Imperial forces. While most of the rebels fled in time, one of their escape ships had a mechanical failure while lifting off and crashed down into a mountainside. All the rebels were killed, except one lone mechanic.

You vs. Zombies (currently I'm setting that for 1000 zombies)
Objective: Kill all the zombies or die trying.

Your unit has a fusion cutter,  3 landmines to drop , and a recon droid to send out into action.

Basically you spawn at an outpost and there are several spots for building gun turrets left over from the battle,  1 health droid, 1 recharge droid (both of which have high health, neither of which can be repaired upon destruction), and one light speeder for making quick getaways;. With the exception of one, the turrets can be rebuilt as often as needed but they have an ammo limit.

4 types of turrets (2 each)
a chaingun (1500 rounds). Best for repelling enemy zombies effeciently
a Heat-seeking missile turret (16 missiles). Locks on to zombies,
a beam cannon turret from the wing of a crashed Imperial Gunship (this one cannot be rebuilt but has high health and no ammo limit)
a sniper turret. a semi-automatic turret with a double-zoom scope that fires sniper shots (1 hit kills), has 100 clips.

The Zombie Stormtroopers: These guys just won't die. The virus that infected them altered their minds (made them more aggressive and violent), and gave them an increase in their stamina. They run faster, take more damage. The force of one of them hitting you is enough to: crack your skull, break your neck, dislocate your spine, destroy your hoverspeeder.  if one gets too close, you're dead. They come in waves. And yes, their weapon is their fists.

2. Mafia

You play as Boba Fett on Tatooine hunting down a local duo of thugs who didn't pay off a debt to Jabba The Hutt. It's a 2-on-1 fight in Mos Eisley.

Locals: Jawas, Rodians, Sullustans, Humans, Stormtroopers
Your target: a Rodian and a Sullustan.

With this you really have to be observant as there are a ton of locals and the guys you're hunting down look and act a bit different. And they are armed (pistols, grenades, maybe a few other surprises).

No screens yet; still working out gcw-era crashing bug.

a CW-era version of this is Jango Fett taking out a few thugs for Jabba

Long overdue map feature:

Ginev's extended Geonosis: Spires

Whats new:
several new Command posts, and prop ships in the sky, eventually i'd like to turn them into command posts (unspawnable of course) that must be destroyed, as just is the case with the techno-union ships. A prop core ship (don't fall in the pit!)

a spawnpoint for a single Droid Gunship on a platform west of the TechnoUnion ships, somewhat resembling the entrance to where the final lightsaber battle happens in EP2. pretty inaccessible to you unless you happen to spawn there (rare). best leave it for the AI.

a Republic command post far south of the "forward center", featuring a single gunship, two IFT tanks, a few speeders, and an AT-TE.

Screens
-Clone Heavy Trooper firing at a Droid Gunship
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BwpG-uxM8QPQWWJ1Q1B0WW5jeDA

-Sniperscope for REP side's rocket launcher. The Rebels and Droids rocket launcher can lock on to just about anything from soldiers to animals, but the range is not as far as the Republic/Empire which can zoom in like a sniper rifle and take out farther away targets. HOwever the clone/stormtrooper rocket launcher cannot target anything except vehicles.

-at the republic outpost at the very end of the map

screenshot creds to sereja for the laat/i, ginev for the map design, gistech for the clone trooper w/ skirt, BF2 droid gunship, and BF3 MPL model

Clone Wars-era forest-y map, - for now lets just say its Endor. I did this primarily through reskinning the stock hoth map and assets. In place of snowspeeders and Tauntauns, the CIS have tanks and speeders. For now the Clones have two ATTE's and several AT-XT's.

To do , short-term
-reskin lowrez textures:
-tweak the terrain textures
-add tree props and generated foliage
-more ground vehicles
-remove Death Star II from sky
-3rd and 4th teams  (extra clones+rep heroes+planet locals vs. extra B1 droids and
-replace hoth shield generator w/ Techno-Union ships in various places around the map

to do, long-term:
air-battle/airstrike component featuring bombers and capital ships (this could be where the third and fourth teams come in handy)

Screens:
1. The CIS Base (reskinned Echo Base, full of Tanks.
2. Moments before a Clone gets absolutely murdered by a Hailfire droid
3. a Clone Stealth Trooper: Features: disguise, slow health regen. Weapons: Disintegrator Sniper Rifle (gonna switch to a different model as this one sticks through the character's arm, Disguise, Detpacks, Thermal Detonator
