You should put this line in any of the ODF hero unit files you want to modify:

CanDeflect = "1"

Many people requested me about my Map Pack assets and finally I step forward releasing them. Since three years of its release and a hard work behind all the process I think it's worthwhile to share my work with all the SWBF1 modding community and giving more possibilities for new projects and ideas.

I think I've said it before, but I want to thank again the people who helped me making this possible. Without you we might not have enjoyed these SWBF2 maps in this game.

I hope you take profit of them! ;)

Quote from: RolfDew on January 11, 2021, 10:39:07 AMFirst of all, this is amazing, well done! Secondly, I'm not sure if this has been requested before, but is there a chance of the maps having SWBF2 sides, like phase 2 clones, Tantive and other variants of rebels?

Thanks!

When I started converting the maps some years ago, I was only focused on converting the maps, and adjust them to SWBF1 with the stock sides of the game. I think it was requested back in the past but since the latest update I didn't make any modifications.

For now I don't have any plans to update the Map Pack, but any requests are welcome if I work in a future version.

Most of the mirror links were dead due to a limited period of time in which those could remain active, according to the cloud storage service I still use.

I have reuploaded all the Map Pack versions into new links.

Sorry for the inconvenience!

NOTE: The 1.1 version was supposed to be a self-extractor file, but I finally reuploaded the maps in a single ZIP file.

You were the last one that I saw that made a title name in poor taste.

You're right.

You are complaining about a problem that we have already "resolved" and this argument was the cause between the parties.  It doesn't need brought up again.  The only thing that SWBFgamers staff is going to fix is inappropriate server names, not interpersonal relations.

Then explain to me at once why it seems to you that we annoy the players. I don't think so, your way of seeing this is not really good.

This seems like baiting for a pointless conversation, but I will bite anyway.

I, for one, have never asked anyone to leave a server that they were playing in to join another server.

I have also refrained from going into other people servers to have pointless chats with them.

As I have always said, people are free to play in what ever server they want, and abide by the rules of that server.

People are free to host whatever server they want, with an expected level of decorum related to their server titles.

It's not a trap, but an opinion. And it's not pointless as you think.

Me neither, but what harm does it suggest to someone to join another server? Is that really something offensive to blame someone? We aren't 24 hours a day asking people to join a specific server. So, what do people complain about? I don't get it.

Excuse me, but the last one who made such a title was precisely someone who accused us of forcing to play on the AR servers, and it wasn't a good thing...

General / If servers are a problem... What then?

Hi all,

I don't host neither pay for any server in SWBF1, but I know how useless it is for the people who have to pay each month for a server where only 1 or 2 players join each week and don't get the most out of it either because some they prefer to start the game in another server or call others to fill such a server. I'm going to give you an example: it's as if I joined a crowded server and suddenly I invited a few (or directly everyone) to play on another server, and you're the server owner. It wouldn't bother you? Of course, but I would also think that it is "something unstoppable" because we cannot force people to join a specific server, we're many scattered IPs in one place on the Internet. :XD:

What seems nonsense to me is that there's people who don't assume the above phrase and prefer to go Plan B, which is nothing else than blaming the neighboring server because it always has the most players. What I come to say is... Everyone is free to play wherever, whenever and however they want, and although it may seem incredible to some, you cannot force anyone to play on a specific server, but you should not target to someone who's hosting a server and invites others to 'play' and 'have fun'.

And this isn't a matter of forcing, it's a matter of coexistence between groups of people, which has already been somewhat reduced by this nonsense.

Also, an appropiate description won't hurt anyone. :P

How did you get SPTest.exe working? It's weird to see someone being able to get it working when most of people who uses latest generation OS (like Windows 10) was unable to execute it.

SWBF1 Modding / Re: how to alling a minimap ?
July 12, 2019, 06:51:20 AM
The minimap scale is defined by default according to the position of the CPs in SWBF1. I think that Map Bounds region is only found in SWBF2 maps.

There will be always someone who doesn't like your mods, but perhaps that person in question doesn't have a valid argument to value it.

Surround yourself with those who do value your projects positively. Never come down! :tu:

I've bought SWBF1 & SWBF2 Steam, second one with more reasons than the first, precisely because the Steam MP is very active.

If I also bought SWBF1 is because I think they'll make their own MP someday. It's also not surprising, as they have managed to attract players to SWBF2 and urge them to use Steam and not SWBFSpy, althrough the rehabilitation of the servers arrived a little late.

I use Notepad++ for edit any file from the project, including LUA files. It also colors the code which you're using among other features so I recommend it.
