Any possibility to create a .lvl files translator to translate them to another language?
It would be great to translate maps and sides into my language, which by the way is Spanish.
If this does not belong to this forum, excuse me.
I think what you might need is the Spanish "localization" for the files.

I know, but a program would make things easier.
look for core.lvl tool to do localization

But the core.lvl of an existing map has ".loc" and ".cfg" files inside that I can't modify.
If I extract them with the SleepKiller tool they become useless.
I guess the only hope I have is that SleepKiller continues with "SWBF-Unmunge" and the extracted localization is useful for editing.
the core lvl tool has a "Multi-Language Tool" exe with it. That's how you edit the localizations, and it's the only way to do it at this time.

I know friend, but in an existing map created by a person you have a "core.lvl" file and to edit the ".cfg" files I need to extract them with the SleepKiller tool, then put those ".cfg" files in your tool (very grateful for this by the way) and run "Multi-Language Tool.exe" and then translate the texts such as the name of the map, the description, etc...
The fact is that the ".cfg" files are not extracted correctly and it is impossible to translate them, so I can only wait for SleepKiller to continue working on its program.
What I am looking for is to translate all of this from English to my language, but from the existing mods the only way to get a mod in my language is to create it myself and I prefer to translate the existing ones.
another tactic is to Hexedit the file. Any new words cannot be longer than the existing ones
e.g. use a hex editor, search for "hello"
and replace with "hola "
The odds of unmunge getting any more work are very low.
Led's method would be the only way to edit existing files or creating brand new ones using the tools provided.
I know that too, I guess I'll do it like that.
Anyway thank you both very much for helping.
