I have a workable setup that I really need a new desk for, but thankfully one will be included in my college dorm...

Laptop specs as follows:

HP Envy 15 Laptop
-Windows 10 Home 64
-6th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700HQ Processor Quad-Core + Intel(R) HD Graphics 530 (Integrated Graphics)
-15.6-inch diagonal HD WLED-backlit Display (1366x768)
-8GB DDR3L - 1 DIMM (RAM)
-1TB 5400 rpm Hard Drive
-3-cell 55.5WHr Lithium-ion Battery
-Backlit Keyboard
-HP TrueVision HD Webcam with Dual Digital Microphone, Fingerprint Reader
-802.11b/g/n WLAN and Bluetooth(R) [1x1]
-Bang & Olufsen with 4 speakers and 1 subwoofer (Audio)

The Integrated Graphics card drags this laptop down when it comes to gaming, but it is still a great laptop for a college student. I purchased the laptop for a little over 500$ during Black Friday last year, and since then the full price has dropped to nearly the same level. :'(
I don't own a Desktop PC anymore. I used to, but this laptop really was a big step up in specs.

The Playstation 3 and the laptop are both connected to the portable speakers on top of the desk. The PS3 and Laptop also share an HDMI switcher with signal priority set to the PS3, simply because it is used less often.

Ah, seems I'm not the only one who's accessorized their laptop for gaming use. :P What's the specs for your monitor with the mount, or is it 1366x768 like you said? My current TV is 1360x768, though my previous model (which I really liked because it could convert composite connection from my GameCube using the component inputs) was also 1366x768. :P

Images are broken.

Ah, sorry, fixed them. :P

Forgot to mention my laptop's specs:

 • AMD A10-5745M 2.1GHz APU with Radeon 8610G graphics
 • 8GB RAM
 • 750GB HDD
 • 17" screen with 1600x900 resolution

I also have a WD 2TB Passport hard drive that I occasionally use for backing up my PC (though I should probably use it more often, it rarely gets connected to the laptop now since I only have 1 port available on it (the other 2 are used for the wireless headphones/keyboard/mouse receivers), and it usually has my cooling pad connected to it. Really need to get a USB hub for this thing sometime so I can leave my hard drive and cooling pad hooked up alongside my wheel. :P

Wish I had that kind of setup. Though my current one is the most relaxed. :P
I use a "Gamer Pal" chair on my bed, coupled with an ironing board that holds my Logitech mk320 wireless mouse/keyboard system. Usually have my Logitech h600 headset going as well (which is also wireless :P)

The point of view. I have a Sylvania 32" LED TV wall-mounted with swivel and tilt options, as well as a digital TV antenna (for those times I want to watch TV). You'll notice on the bottom right of the photo I have a Logitech Driving Force GT steering wheel, and beside that is my killer 250-watt TC Electronic BG250 112 bass amp (which I do have an auxiliary cable for if I want to watch movies on my laptop in near surround sound :P). Bottom left shows my simple HP Pavilion laptop, always closed, and always on the charger. Above it is also my Logitech f310 gamepad I pull out for some games, and my cheap $20 spare headset when the wireless isn't working. Do note the nice clone trooper helmets, pile of books, and Nintendo GameCube as well (which I have hooked up, but don't use due to the component/composite AV issue).

My racing setup. I usually have the TV rotated out so I have room for my wheel to be in-line with the screen, as well as my computer chair for a seat. Keyboard/mouse are off to the side as depicted, and I usually have the bass amp (pictured bottom right) turned on for those nice engine revs. :)

This sounds awesome! Thank you Jedikiller, Kalle, and Led for doing all this!

If you guys can get statistics and leaderboards rolling again, though, that'd be sweet. :D

Also Anyder, what did you have in mind for upgrades to SWBF1? Just curious. :)

So my question now is: If we do get a master server up and running based on Kalle's data, will the executables need to be updated again?

Also, will this mean there will be separate master servers for Euro and US players? Or does it not matter where the master server is located, but as long as there is one?

I love these random general threads. Part of the reason I still check on the website (alongside other SWBF news and such). :P

You aren't the only one who wants a mobile port of SWBF.

I remember when Aspyr Media made a mobile port of KoTOR, how I would've loved for them to make a mobile port of SWBF. Unfortunately, I don't think it's possible entirely, and FPS controls on mobile games aren't the best (then again, they make controllers for mobile these days, so there is a loophole around it really).

The real clicher would be modding support. If the port could keep the file archive intact (highly unlikely, but still would be cool if it could work), and if the dev porting it could add some form of modding support, it would become a pretty popular game I figure.

I've got an XBox One. I think it's not worth it unless you're a pretty hardcore gamer and have a bunch of games (neither of which apply to me :P)

Eh, I think that's also the thing that's drawing me back from the next-gen consoles. I mean, I am a gamer, but I'm not hardcore by any means (quite casual, matter of fact). The other thing is the games in general. I mean, all the new titles out go anywhere from $60-$80 in stores, whereas I can get 4-packs of some games and other titles on Steam for sometimes even half that price. Not saying I have the ability to run any AAA titles, but I can spend far less for games for PC than a console.

Hey guys,

So, as I said in another post I recently went on a downloading spree to find my old mods I used to have. There's one mod that I remember someone gave to me. He went by the name Stereo I believe, he was an Alpha Clan member for a bit though I've seen him on the forum before as some other name that I can't remember. I remember it because since he was a fellow Canadian, he went ahead and made a skin mod that had a kind of "Canadian-esque" look to the Republic troopers. The only other thing I can remember about the guy was he was heavy into metal music.

If you guys happen to know who I'm talking about, could you possibly direct me to his current profile on here so I may message him? Alternatively, if you even have the skin mod (which I doubt anyone else here does), could you upload it?

For visual reference, this was the skin I'm referring to (pics uploaded below). I even had them on during my first (and only) battle for ICW3:

EDIT: I remember now, he last went by the name of Bread.

I recently went on a download spree on SWBFGamers, and was trying to look for some old mods I had for the game. I remember this skin, but the web link doesn't work anymore, and I don't believe we ever had a local download link for either of these skins.

Say RC, if yer still around, would you happen to be able to reupload these skins? :D

I swear to god that's like the only one I don't have. Wish I had logged on yesterday now :XD:
Same, in hindsight I kind of miss playing my Lego Star Wars games off my GameCube, (unfortunately TV doesn't have the proper A/V inputs for my GameCube, which sucks). The thing I hate more though is that I had 99% completion on Lego Star Wars II, before the memory card got corrupted... :(

I would buy it on Steam, but I'm quite a few cents short of that, and I got no Steam trading cards that I feel like giving away. (Plus, as usual Lego is horrendous when it comes to pricing their games on Steam.)

Am I the only one having a severe issue with their forum simply loading? Or is it because I don't have an account on that forum?

I dont think this is a price chop in that sense. I think it's a sale.
Other titles (maybe I'll buy the saboteur) are on sale as well.

Yeah, realized that after I looked further into it. I noticed NFS: MW was for free this week though I thought it was the '05 one, not the newer 2011 reboot. Still downloaded it anyways. :P

As for the SWBF game, still need a better PC to run the game, dangit. And, I haven't bought an Origin card yet. :P
