I'll have you know I win almost all SWBFII matches with Friendly Fire off, difficulty easy and playing as heroes every chance I get.

Seems, astromech droids, aren't suitable, for riding in pilot seat, at least for BARC speeders. Perhaps, there is some special cargo holders under it, which let the droid, be conncted to the drive system, have fixated position and easy drop down at any time, when it needs.
