I think the OP has a point and the moderator is being a bit too sensitive.

And I don't think the poolshark is the best moderator EA has ever had  ;)

Agreed. I'd be a little upset too if all I got was "Searching for Server" after paying for a new game. I get that enough to be annoying, but not as bad as the OP. The mod could have been more mature about his very reasonable complaint.

The only weapon I think needs to be adjusted  (toned down) is the pulse cannon. I'm really sick of dying from one shot from a mile away from some green lightning bolt. The rest of the weapons seem reasonably balanced.

Sounds good. I look forward to the Death Star map especially. DEA1 was arguably the best map for SWBF1. Lets hope they can match the awesome play of that map, but with these much-improved graphics.

My opinion is formed by the fact I'm rubbish at survival.

Survival isn't all that hard once you figure out how, exactly how, to play each map. All of them require a certain strategy to get a good time, or even just to complete them, especially on master difficulty. I discovered, for example, the best way to play Tatooine is the least likely method of all: stay near the middle of the map (which usually means certain death), on the high ground near the Tusken camp site. Use ion grenades and ion torpedoes against the AT-STs. Just drop the grenades on top of them as they walk by. They can't shoot at you when they are below you. And use the torpedoes when they start out, from afar, but stay low behind cover. Don't bother with a jump pack --- wasted spot in your star card hand. All you need to do is drop off the ledge when they start to overwhelm you, and circle around the plateau you just jumped off of. No need to run all around the edges of the map, and no need for a jump pack. And use the RT97 - C heavy blaster against the troops. Use short bursts so it doesn't overheat. Really not that hard. I'm not very good with the hand controller at all, and I managed to complete Master difficulty in 40 minutes.... darn near the 35 minute time needed for one of the trophies. I'll get that trophy eventually.

I finally got Survival on Sullust - Master Difficulty (Solo)
Check it out if you are finding it impossible. I know it gave me tizzy fits for awhile.  >:(
I only show the last wave+ in this video, but the method is the same for all the waves.
It works! I also did hard without losing a life right after completing Master difficulty.

... Finally finished all Missions! Hurrah!  :cheer:

If anyone needs a co-op partner to finish off the tough missions just let me know, I'll help. Even though I have already finished all the missions I still need that trophy to complete a mission with a friend. Just friend me on PS4 : Ryanoceros876

I do pretty good on Fighter Squadron, Cargo, Droid run, and Drop Zone. And occasionally I can do good on the Walker Assault, as long as it is not on Endor or Hoth. I can't see jack on those maps.

I agree with most of that. But that said, I have been doing pretty well using the DH-17 pistol with explosive bullets (in short range combat), and the RT-97C using focus fire (in long range combat).

I think the scanner is useless, since everyone spawns everywhere. And some people, if using the Scout trait, don't show up on the scanner at all. The scanner doesn't have any real range indicator, either, or differentiate large numbers or smaller numbers of troops in any given direction.
The ion bullets are also pretty much useless, relative to the torpedo or grenade. Not worth wasting the spot in your star card hand.

I got all the stars on hoth as well! I saw that room too but I chose to use the wider bottleneck at the far end of the hangar that has a big blast door in it. It allows for more of an escape route if necessary. The maps are sooo amazing. The blaster effects look just like the movies too!

Cool! Oh, that's Survival on Hoth. I did that a weeks or so ago. Battle on Hoth is the one I did yesterday; the one with the mountains and caves.
You're right about the graphics though, they are amazing. They look like photographic quality. Visually this game is stunning. The sound effects are also fantastic.

After reading this thread I no longer feel alone in the world. I thought I was the only one who thinks this game needs a lot of improvements and has a lot of annoying attributes.
Still, I love the graphics. If they could just remake SWBF1 with these graphics I'd be a happy gamer.

So far only 4 stars on the missions without the heros. I don't see how it is possible to get the less than 40 kills on master. Good job to you!

Just a few minutes ago I got both the master and unstoppable stars on Battle on Hoth. I just uploaded the video to YouTube. Once it is processed and approved I'll post the link. I did it in 6:41! ... Way better than my time on normal and hard difficulty. Just have to know the trick. :)
So far i have 34 of 40 stars on Battles and 14 of 20 on Survival. All the training missions are done 15 of 15.

... Here's the link. Start the video at the 6 minute mark and play it from there to see how I did Master difficulty and Unstoppable in 6:41. ... I'm editing it down so you won't need to start it at the 6 minute mark. It may take awhile for them to finish that though. Currently the video is 15 minutes long, but only the last several minutes is where I did it.

Like BF1 or BF2 are they some small icons which are high slopes of the character's head? (It canbe find in the parameters) It can improve your visibility ;)

Yeah, I think there is a setting for people with color blindness, that may help. I haven't tried that yet. I'm not color blind, but it may help anyway. Just a little more contrast will help, especially on the large maps where enemies are a mile away.

How you guys doing on the missions?

I managed to get all five stars on the Survival on Hoth map yesterday. There's a secret way to do it!
On master difficulty is the hardest, but I managed to do it while losing only a single life, and while gather all pods and hearts (extra lives) and all collectibles. :)

Don't read further if you don't want to know how to win Survival on Hoth on master difficulty:
Here's the secret. At the end of the cargo bay, and slightly to the right is a corridor that leads to a room that has no other entrances. It's the perfect place for a defensive plan. Just stay there and let the enemy come to you. Then just mow them down with your blaster rifle. Then when there is only one probe droid left, go out and activate the pod(s), gather up a blaster cannon, then take it back to the corridor and set it up in there, it will help you in the later waves when there are a lot of troopers and the shadow troopers come for you. Then, again, after all but one probe droid has been killed, go out and gather all the collectibles and hearts. Then be sure to get back to that corridor before the next wave begins.
Easy as pie.
Still working on how to do it on the other maps. But a similar methodology will likely work there too.

Share your secrets to success, if you know any.

Not liking the spawn points. It seems like everyone spawns everywhere. There's always someone behind you. And unlike SWBF1 you can't choose your spawn location.

The scanner is worthless. I always get shot in the back by someone that doesn't appear on the scanner. And since everyone spawns all over the map it serves no purpose but to confuse you. It's like being in a battle where you are surrounded in all maps and games; there's no direction to go fight, it's always everywhere and anywhere. In short, any attempt at strategy is meaningless.

I found it levelling off a little yesterday, I actually managed to get to the top of the leaderboard for a few games of blast and hero hunt.

Me too. I'm pretty decent on the fighter squadron. I got high score a few times. My high score was 8150, with honors in most kills and most damage to carries. I do okay on cargo, drop pods and droid recovery game. I'm horrible at the big battle games though. Although I've done okay on the walker maps a few times. I'm still not very good with the controller. I'll never be as good or comfortable as with a mouse and keyboard. But it's still fun anyway, just frustrating at times.

So, it's a bit early in the morning for me--7 am, but SWBFstats says there are 10,000+ PC players on the moment...so why can't I get in a game of Blast or Dropzone?

searching puts me into a game with 2 other people waiting for something to start.

I will also no longer play the endor maps--it's too hard to see the rebels on them, and I continuously get stuck back into the same game if I leave it...

It's not looking good for this piece of EA   ;)

I completely agree about the Endor map. It's way too hard for these old eyes to see the rebels. In fact it's hard to see the imperials on Hoth, too. Green on green and white on white is just too one-sided. It's frustrating, to say the least.
