Various USB Ports Not Working?

Hello all,

So I turned my PC on today and tried to log in to my computer. Turns out I couldn't because the Keyboard was not working. So I checked the mouse and that one worked. Bare in mind, I NEVER use wireless equipment.
So I tried a different keyboard, that didn't work either. Then I turned my PC off, then back on again. No luck. Then I figured out that the mobile device I use to tether a connection between my hub and PC wasn't working either.

After about 15 minutes of googling the answer to my problem, they were all the same. "Update Drivers" because when has that EVER worked? I've now plugged my keyboard into a USB slot that DOES work and also done the same with my mobile. However I don't think I can fit in anything else now as NOTHING else is recognized (i.e don't have enough working USB ports)

The important thing is I have the most essential items plugged into all working ports which is good. However, how do I fix my other ports? It can't be a hardware problem can it? Keep in mind that this happened overnight when I was sleeping. Any solutions would be appreciated!

Thanks and have a great day!

I've had a computer with fried USB ports.  It was a hardware problem in my case, and could not be fixed.

I believe this was my error:
Power Surge on Hub Port or USB device has exceeded the power limits of it's hub port

Good luck!

Don't believe everything you read on the internet

Did you have a power outage? This always seems to happen to my computer when the power goes out.
