Munging Error

When I try to munge in BFBuilder Pro, I get this mungelog:

The munge fails and nothing shows up in the addon folder. I've never had this problem before and I don't know what could have caused it. The top of the mungelog used to show a different path and I could munge without any problems. I'm munging on a 64-bit PC and have always successfully used:
"@set path=c:/windows/system32"

From what I can tell, there's a couple possible culprits:

Munging ._mod1a.req
Error: Expecting bracket, but none was found.

Should probably go to look at what bracket is missing.

Not sure what \Common is supposed to mean, but obviously the Munger didn't like it.

Should probably go look at your LUA as well.

Would also probably be helpful to figure out what it is that you changed since your last successful munge. That will narrow down the list of suspects by a healthy amount.

And as a side note, ALWAYS make a back-up. I've learned this the hardway. If nothing else, create a back up of your DataABC folder every time it all works properly.

I do make backups after every succsessful munge. However, even they don't work. This is because I get this error with every single map I munge. In fact the error I've shown is from a brand new map that I've made no changes to. I think it's a problem with the path shown in the mungelog. I'm fairly sure it used to "look" in a different location for my Battlefront files.

Ah, now that I'm looking at it again, yes indeed there is a problem with the path directory. BFBuilder needs to be in a specific location for it to work properly.

BFBuilder shouldn't be in Program Files(x86), but in the LucasArts folder in the C drive. So, it should look like C:\LucasArts\BFBuilder\...etc.

Move BFBuilder to that location and it should work properly. If for some reason BFBuilder is already in its right spot, you might have to manually change the path every time you munge.

It looks like I may have to edit the path manually every time I munge like you suggested. How would I do that?

Editing the path manually was under the assumption that BFBuilder was already in the right location, which it wasn't. Now you're getting a slightly different issue as your mungelog is showing. I'd rather not have to force you to edit the path manually unless all else fails.

I'm not quite sure why its still calling on Program Files, and weirder still is the references to Oracle and Java, which weren't even included in your original issue.

Has your computer updated itself recently, or did you move to a new operating system?

As for what you can try, maybe creating a new map and munging now that BFBuilder is in the new directory. If nothing else, you could try reinstalling it (since this issue transcends your projects, you shouldn't lose any of your work if you take the DataABC folders out of BFBuilder before uninstalling.)

If those don't work...I really don't know what to say O_o

It looks like I may have to edit the path manually every time I munge like you suggested. How would I do that?

I know it can seem dumb but try to make a step back. Try to remember the last thing you modified, save a beckup of the corrupt file then overwrite with a vanilla file from the assets. Always make little steps, don't get too far, don't change 100 things hoping everything will be ok, because the probabilty of critical errors doubles at any new thing you change in the scripts.

Make sure to clear out your "virtual store" and your appdata folder for the tools if there is one (google them to learn more).   Basically, windows will sometimes keep and old copy of a program (or batch file) and use the old one instead of using the new one with the same name.

Ok, I'll try clearing out my virtual store and if that doesn't work, I'll reinstall BFBuilder. Thanks for all your help.
