Title: Extract audio files?
Post by: Unit 33 on May 05, 2011, 01:44:52 PM
I was just wondering whether it would be possible to extract the audio files, such as the weapon sound effects and
team call-outs (i.e. "we've captured a command post") as an accessible file such as an mp3 or whatever...

I know that ggctuck managed to add his own music files into his mods... I just thought it could work the other way round?
This isn't for a mod, I'd just like to have the effects...  :D *cough* ring tone *cough* *cough*

The reason they werent included in the mod tools is because (as psych0fred says) its under copyright and not available for use. nobody has made anything able to extract the files themselves but if you have your own sounds files (i assume ggctuk did) then that would work

Oh well, it was worth a gander.

It is possible to record the sounds yourself and save them. I made a sound.lvl builder and what it does is take the wav and encode it to LVL. As far as I know there is no way to reverse that process.
