ICW3 Week 7

I say that we should end it now.  This weekend should start something new, like the ICA or Leaderboards.  Or even a 2 on 2 tourney or a giant battle with all the participants.  We could probably fit 50 people in one server...

Some YAK players have expressed interest in continuing the tournament. They can voice their individual opinions here if they want.

Personally, I don't have a preference. If it continues I will still try to show up at matches. If it is discontinued than oh well less of a headache. I honestly just want to play. I don't really care if it's in tournaments, fun wars, or just regular servers. My time to play these days is limited, so I like to have fun when I play. And the activity in Battlefront will only be going down so let's make the most of it while we can.

An idea to a possible next tournament: Why not split the people that want to play into random teams? Make sure each team have the same number of  europeans/americans/begginers/pros...

The YAK that responded seemed to want more games. I would personally want one more week just to finish things off (we had to work hard to stay in). I do think that we need to bring it to an end soon though or at least change some things.
I actually didn't think much went wrong last week apart from Majesty but I do miss playing on public servers now and they are seeing less people because everyone is in ICW password servers.

I agree that should be the next tournament. I'd enjoy a "pick-up" swbf game.

You could start the ICA this week, or even possibly take a break this weekend. Make the week after more intense for the last week of the ICW3 if there is to be one.

Its already Wednesday and there is lots of talk about many ideas (some really good ones too). I suggest we skip this weekend anyways whether people think its a good time to end it now or 1 more. Gives some people time to relax and do something else, or to get caught up in school. And think about this more through.

I agree. Let's take a breather this weekend. Next week is my fall break, so I won't be quite so busy as I have been. If YAK wants to continue another week after this, then that's probably what we'll do.

We can still set up some fun wars this weekend, if people are interested.

Perhaps we can plan on:
2 maps, at 2 and 3 EST on Saturday
2 maps, at 2 ans 3 EST on Sunday

No password, auto-assign, etc. Anyone may play but you must obey the rules of conduct or else be banned.

I'll add a poll where we can pick which 2+2=4 maps we will play.

I think someone asked whether the ICA rules would be changed. I honestly don't remember them, but  yes, I think that we'll just start from scratch and have a community-brainstormed rewrite of the ICA rules. Bear in mind that the only "rules" for the ICA were rules on organization: the actual rules of battle were open-ended as long as both teams could agree.

In my opinion, 212 just want the tourney to go on cause they think they can get maps.
Well, we can just see that in 1.0 vs 212 funwars to decide the winner.
After this, we can just continue playing ICA.

Yes, of course we want planets, as I am almost positive all teams do However that is not my reason to carry on. I wanted to carry on in the previous ICW's despite us loosing. I like the planet system and I find it a lot more fun playing for an aim. In this case playing for planets. It is also a nice way for a team to "gel". The ICW is a lot more competitive to say the least and I like that, until it gets out of hand like with Harbour... It also encourages me to play swbf. I try to participate in as many tournaments as I can to keep me playing actively. The ICA is still fun but I just do not enjoy it as much.

this ICW has too many bans and only 3 teams.
Maybe in next ICW more clans wanna participate.. and also change maps

Because I find it funny how a 3 can be followed by a 4 so quickly. But I see your logic, however I would leave a little gap of time, say a month at the very least. You saw that 5 clans started out. Let's say 4 because of the TcF "issue". En'ten did well. But which other clans would take part? I am not sure it would grow at all. Also, to put this out there , no ICW has been "finished". One clan owns all planets.
