Kudos, FC+UEF! Thanks to all the clans, mercenaries and spectators! That was a lot of fun!

I tried to throw a little something together for the ICW4 Participant Award. Take a gander:

All the command posts are shown in red because I use the opposite side to move along the perimeter of the capture zone, trying to get an idea of its shape. So the CIS CP has a Clone Sniper in the pic, and a Republic CP has a Droid Sniper.

Do starting zones count for buffers?
Buffers are free-roaming. :P

There has been confusion about how close to a CP clans must start. This is my fault, because the rules are vague.
From now on, clan members should start within capture radius of CPs (even if spawn zones are outside of this radius).
Alright, crew. LISTEN UP. Today begins the Battles of Week 5. As Oven said, there is now definite starting zones. Admins are watching you with freecam. Before the countdown can begins, all players must be in the starting zone. Do not leave the zone early. If you leave the zone before the Countdown is finished, the Admin may stop the countdown, tell teams to return to their starting zones, and restart the countdown. This may not always be possible, however, if there is a quick kill, for instance. Teams will be penalized! Do not be an annoyance. It's hard enough trying to begin battles on time. :nono:

So it is very simple. How is the countdown done, you ask? That's simple, too:

5
4
3
2
1
go

When the admin's "go" appears on your screen, only then can you exit your starting zone. I've had to pause in the middle of a countdown because I was not sure if a certain player on a certain team was in or out of the starting zone.

So! The only remain question you have is this! Where is my Starting Zone? Glad you asked. As Oven said, it is the Capture radius of the CP you are starting at. If you spawn out of this radius before the battle has officially begun, kindly move yourself into the Starting Zone and wait for the battle to begin.

Ah ha! What if you not sure where this mysterious Starting Zone is? We do have a handful of mod maps for the ICW and perhaps some of you are unfamiliar with where the capture radius extends to exactly. Fear not. Mon Mothma and I have put together some blueprints for you to observe. Many bothans died to bring you this information. -Phantom

Basically you must be inside the houses. You may not be on the window sills or on the roofs of the houses. Thank you.

These Zones are rather small and restrictive.

This is a lot less space than what many players are used to, so pay attention here. This is a no-no:

I don't have time to pin down the exact Zone, but this is basically it. You may start on the edge of the top of the center complex. Do not start on top of the upper runway along the perimeter of the map like shown below:

Good game, Bomber. It ended just like our practice round. I had fun. Send more battlefronters my way, Bomber and Elite.   8)

Instead of removing clan vs clan battles, another idea could be to have the planetary battles randomly chosen by admins, and not allow the clans to choose who to attack (to prevent 'ganging up' alliance loopholes).
I like this idea, if enough clans are interested. No planetary map system. No home planets.
2 clan would be predetermined to battle each week. Say, for instance...

Week 1
YAK vs CAT on Tatooine
DKY vs MSE on Rhen Var
LTH vs LOU on Ord Mantell

...and then...

Week 2
MSE vs LOU on TBA
CAT vs LTH on TBA
YAK vs DKY on TBA

...so that no clan will face off against the same clan two weeks in a row. The Battles schedule could be drawn up in advance however many weeks the ICW lasts. Whichever clan has the most victories by the end of X number of weeks wins the ICW.
