Star Wars Battlefront: EA Reboots 1 and 2 / Re: Skirmish Mode Released!
December 10, 2016, 03:09:50 PM
Did they really say that...? I thought they said something like "there's no plans for it yet but we'll see in the future". Not like that really means anything different though.
Apparently uninspired_zebra (a data miner) discovered that there were files for offline Supremacy, though at the time it was just copy pasted from the online version. Who knows, maybe they are working on more content and just want to leave it as a surprise. I still don't get why they can't simply tell us whether or not they're working on more Skirmish content instead of just telling us "maybe, maybe not".
To be honest, I don't really care much for Skirmish anymore. I find that playing against actual humans is way more fun because the AI is too easy. The only change between difficulties is how much damage the AI do. I actually die way more often against the AI in SWBF1/SWBF2 than in EA's game (where I can go 200-0 in one match).
I still don't believe EA is scamming anyone. They've always said that this was a multiplayer game, not a singleplayer game. Hopefully they'll do better with the sequel.

I can convert the maps for you if someone else isn't already doing it.

SWBFspy: Internet Master Server Discussions / Re: BattlefrontUpdates Advertising SWBFSpy

Though, this might get the attention of EA. There are people out there who would be like that, who would go and inform EA and Dice.
I don't think they'd really care to be honest. They probably already know of services like Tunngle and Gameranger. I don't think they'd try to shut SWBFSpy down.

OFFTOPIC:Well i am trying for 2 days to extract a .pak files that i get from StarWars Revenge of the Sith PS2 game.I tryed 4 different pak extractors and nothing worked...Someone know how to unpack them?
That's the just the file extension, that doesn't necessarily mean it's the same format. Chances are you'll have to write your own extractor or ask someone else to do so.

Are you sure that was a multiplayer server?
It could be one of those unreleased modes that has AI including hero AI?
It was online, he said so in the comments.

Probably. It might be possible for Uninspired_Zebra to start it as he was able to join an online match with an unreleased skin. Perhaps he could get killed with the BO-Rifle and then it'll be available early for PC players lol.

lol They're sure taking their time with it. I'm sure they could easily release it right now, if they want to.

I wouldn't remove Fighter Squadron from the playlist, just add more modes. But the developers did state that they'll likely add an option to stay in whatever mode you select instead of playing through the playlist.

The fans wanted Obi-Wan.
And we got the furry.
No, if you looked at the Battlefront subreddit, most fans wanted Chewie over Obi Wan. I've also heard that EA was unable to reach an agreement with the Alec Guinness estate for proper compensation for use of his likeness, so they couldn't add him anyway.
And besides, that's only one example. As Commander Awesome stated:
Quote from: Commander AwesomeIf EA doesn't listen, why is there skirmish mode? Or Stormtroopers with pauldron colors? Or private matches? Why did they remove helmetless Stormtroopers? Why are they constantly nerfing OP weapons? Why are they adding more modes to the Death Star DLC?

There's been numerous examples of them listening to fans, just because the game doesn't satisfy you doesn't mean they're not listening.
