I don't think I've mentioned this when I first came in to SWBFGamers, but I've wanted to mention that there are a couple of other Star Wars GameSpy games that would be nice if they were to be played outside of GameRanger. I know there is multiplayer in the SWBF games, but I prefer to see that they are not the only games that should have multiplayer outside of GameRanger. Is there a way where you guys can deal with the multiplayer in both Star Wars Republic Commando and Empire at War? That would be great! XD
I fully support this. I would certainly love play SWEAW with SWBFSpy. It'd be cool if we could have the Republic at War mod for SWEAW running on SWBFSpy too.
I haven't ever seen the SWRC multiplayer but it'd cool to see what that's like too. GameRanger is a laggy mess.
It's probably worth taking a look at tunngle. It's similar to gameranger although I'm not sure how many people are on it.

In theory, it is possible to support pretty much any Gamespy games with GameMaster. Unfortunately, we are not the developers of Gamemaster so I can't answer for certain how we would do this. If it just takes adding a game to the database, then we might be able to do it.
We would need a list of all the old gamespy service/port names and numbers for those titles as a starting point.
Beyond that, it would be a big big maybe.

Does RaW have its own separate multiplayer or something?
It's just a really popular mod. And, like all mods, needs all clients to have it to work.
There are some people who (probably?) still play RC on private servers via DC.

I talked a lot to Kalle about getting EaW/FoC working on Gamemaster and he was having a lot of problems getting it set up and was never able to finish it. If you want to play EaW online you could always use GameRanger, a lot of people play it on there. (Even though it sucks)

There's around 10-20 people who still play scrims, if that. I play occasionally but I don't think it would be worth the time and effort to figure out and host the master server for Rep Com. They also wouldn't even use it since they keep their scrim servers private and you connect using the direct IP method in the game.
Hello guys, well about RC, there is an awesome patch, made by a guy named Skip, which adds bot support in the multiplayer, and some further functions to administrate a server, like The Quake console.
You should check it out on Moddb, it is a pity I never got it to work though.

Well that sucks :( If I had further knowledge on this kind of thing I'd be happy to help and I wish I did. I remember trying to play RaW and it would work on GR. EaW worked but it felt like I was trying to run it on the Apple II with 2 B/ps :XD:
