Hi everyone, I'm back! had to stop rather abruptly to focus on school (because going in for a music degree leaves you with very little free time for the first two years - and what free time you have you end up spending getting too turnt)

I purchased a new laptop, redownloaded all my assets, and have more less retaught myself how to do everything. I don't have a release date for the mod I was working on unfortunately.

FYI Just now I figured out how to make the "setcarrierclass" command work, although the animation of the LAAT/c gunship itself seems a bit messed up at first (and the collision is incorrect - i basically just copied the rep_fly_gunship odf, replaced the geometryname, animationname, and removed the weapons. It also does not take off after the AT-TE disengages, and due to the current but fixable collision issue, it just walks right through the laat/c)  I'll look more into it later and post screens when I have the time.

Those are actually rockets the the gunship fires. the effect is from ggctuk's main play mod assets.

"Threnody for the victims of Hiroshima" and "Te Deum" by Penderecki are quite good.

also:  Leos Janacek. search up his piano piece "1.x.1905".

What's your favorite Shostakovich? I was listening to him quite a lot earlier this summer.

I played his Piano Quintet and it's a gorgeous piece, especially the last movement. Other then that:
His 24 preludes & Fugues, 3 Fantastic Dances, e minor piano trio, and String Quartets 7 & 8.

 you guys ever thought of compromising? how about you split the maps 50/50 between radar and no radar.


side note - radar spelled backwards is radar.

I fooled around a bit until I manage to make a recon droid that was "self piloted" by turning the time bomb dispenser into a droid dispenser  It follows you around but won't fire its gun.

I remember trying to have a self-piloted turret and it did nothing except fire nonstop until its gun overheated and it only fired in the direction it was planted in.

If this isn't the soundtrack for every aspect of the game I'm quitting the internet

So I've done something that many will find sacrilegious - I removed the droideka from the cis side.

-Unless it had its shield up, I (and most ai) got killed within a matter of seconds while playing.
-In ball/driving mode, it was too vulnerable
-And with the shield, it was basically a turret that could move very, very slowly.

That is not to say the droideka's completely gone, I'm keeping it as an nonplayble unit for maps that make sense to feature it (like geonosis or mos eisley)

More news soon (assuming I remember to post consistently)

My only bit of advice is: Do not combine heavy weapons (Rockets, mines) and jetpacks (It's a mistake I'm undoing) It will get messy.
