Other Games / Star Wars Combine

Since this is a Star Wars related forum, I figured I'd share a Star Wars game.  Ironic, huh? :slap:

I've played this game for about 4 months now, and I have to say, theres always something new to learn and do.  Its called the Star Wars Combine.  It is the most advanced SW game on the internet.  Basically, its the entire SW galaxy and universe and lets you decide what you want to do, from the equipment you want to wear/use, to the very building and doorways you step through.

Quote
There are no original heroes in the Combine, you create them.  You choose what factions you want to join.  Join the Galactic Empire, The Rebel Alliance, the Falleen Federation, the Trade Federation, or any of the other dozens of factions out there.  Find a known Jedi, and see if you are sensitive in the force, and become a Jedi if you are!  Choose what race you want to be, from a Geonosian to a Corellian to a Twi'lek.  Everything is at your choice.

It is unavoidable.  It is your destiny.

The game is quite advanced needless to say.  I figured I would share this game with some of you, since Star Wars is the forums theme.

If you do want to join the Combine, do know that you have to create a real name.  You can't just put "Vendetta" as what you want your Handle (username) to be.  It took me a few registrations to figure that out :XD:

Also, it isn't an instant sign up and join thing, you actually have to be accepted by an administrator, which can be a few hours to a few days to be confirmed.  They will email you saying if you were accepted or not, as well as your temporary password.  You can change the password once you log in if you wish.

My name is Jon Onasi in the combine.  You can DM(Dark Message) me in the combine if you need help, or just message me on here too.  The game is quite confusing and very weird at the start, but it is quite amazingly fun in time when you find good friends, a good faction, and find your destiny  :o

Join the Combine here.

He means USB. Universal Serial Bus-this what the port is called. A USP is a gun. And specifically he means a USB thumb drive-there are thousands of different USB devices out there from USB sound cards to USB fans-it's incorrect to call a USB thumb drive simply 'a USB' as USB is simply the interface between the device and the computer and not the storage device/object itself.

I knew that :P

I knew it didn't sound right  :XD:

Try this: Put the harddrive in an existing computer but DO NOT use it as a boot device-just hook it up as a second drive. Boot into windows and see if it will recognize the drive. If it doesn't you'll have to use a dedicated recovery utility such as (my favorite) GetDataBack or some other recovery utility.

Will try out sometime this weekend.  The data isn't that vital to me.  At the most I lost was some school papers.  I doesn't matter too much if I get everything back, I was just wondering what I could do to get the data back if I did need something back.

No.  I have a portable Hardrive I put music and movies on and take it to friends house to listen to music, etc. and it goes into a USP.  I could pull that one out and put the bad one in, but I'm not entirely sure what would come up if anything.  I'll try later.  Little busy right now.

Tech Support / Hardrive not doing anything
December 03, 2010, 03:06:04 PM
So last monday I get home from school and start up my laptop and everything seemed fine at this point.  I get to the login screen, type my password, then nothing happens.  I wait for about 10 minutes and still nothing happens.  I decide to force shut down and restart it.  I get my startup screen, but after that, I get a completely black screen except for a flashing cursor at the top left of my screen, and thats all thats going on.  It doesn't load or anything.  I force shutdown and restart one or two more times, but I still get the same thing.

I had only assumed that the hardrive just had had enough and decided to crash on me.  I went and put in my Windows 7 disk to see if I could recover, but after a few attempts, I get the 'Cannot locate C drive' crap.  So I went and put in a new hardrive (which was fun).  Started up and cleared the hardrive (my brother used it for Linux, but he doesn't need it anymore) and put Windows 7 Enterprise in.  Started up just fine and installation went smoothly.  Got Steam, Itunes and all the what-nots.

Now, I made you read all that to ask you my question.  The ruined hardrive has some things that were important to me.  I'm asking how can I get my data off the ruined hardrive onto a USP, or something I can store it in, and take the USP to my new hardrive, as the ruined hardrive won't respond in any computer in my house.  I get the same thing as what I got on my laptop, a black screen with a flashing cursor in the top left corner.

Thanks in advance! 8)

My code is 1239 8283 5713 7931

If you don't know, we both need to add eachothers code, so don't try to send a message over the Wii if you have mine, but I don't have yours ;)

QuoteDid you guys know that the wii remote and nunchuck set up has a lean out of cover feature its aesome

QuoteThe main thing that I like using the remotes more than the GC controller is that I'm able to use the nunchuck and tilt it when I'm behind cover and go slanted around my cover without sending my entire body into open fire.

I believe I just said that  :P  ;)

And if you don't know where to find your friend code, its in your message center, and look around in there.  Its there somewhere, just can't remember it.
