I think it's still worth it to install SWBF2. There's still a lot of folks on multiplayer, you can easily find a Hero Assault game, or a regular conquest game. As Unit said, I'd reinstall for the mods too, SWBF2 has a ton of great ones.

I'll try to make the reunion either tomorrow night, or sunday night. I'm glad a lot of folks turned out for this event

Old sports games have outdated rosters, that's the biggest reason. Generally, people think that as time goes on, issues in these games will be fixed, and so buying newer titles will mean better gameplay.

This of course isn't true, since games that are released every year can only be patched so much, so sometimes you get titles that stagnate. I personally bought Madden NFL 13 because there's a new physics engine, and the game play is smoother, but if '14 changes very little, I'll just play the older title with custom rosters 

Currently playing: Madden NFL 13, Halo 4, some Fallout 3, and The Walking Dead. I just finished Mass effect 3.

It's too bad that the MXG forums are nowhere to be found, those are the forums I was more active on.

It's still nice to see this bit of history, even if I only had like 10 posts on that board.

I've played this game for 5 years, obviously I don't play it as much as I used to. I stick around though, mostly for the occasional cloud city match and tournaments.

Tournament play takes up most of my SWBF time, and when I join them I'm met with an array of mods. It absolutely affects me, and many others.

I understand people like a challenge, but let's be honest, when you're going into a duel the goal is to win. If you're in a fight with a guy on steroids, you're at a disadvantage from the moment the fight starts. This gives you less of a chance to win, just because you're playing honestly. I'd rather have everything equal from the get go, and if the other team/person wins, then so be it, they've won on fair terms.

But in the past few weeks, I've been fighting against anything but fair play. I don't understand why playing the game vanilla in tournaments, and in other people's servers, is such a difficult concept for people to comprehend. I don't care what FC does on their servers, or what they do in single player. But when I'm facing a guy with no brush and constant radar, it's just as game breaking as a guy sitting in the wall, shooting everything that moves outside.

This tournament is becoming less and less enjoyable, because it appears to me that this community is riddled with players that have no respect, no class, and no desire for fair play. The fact that FC can't play a fair match and toss a cordial GG at the end of a match without insulting the opponents, is childish and shows that the average FC member is about as mature as a 6 year old.

I am thoroughly disappointed in this community, and it's sad that this place has devolved into a bunch of kids running around with hacks.

I think the annoyance people have is not directed at your interests, it's just that you post about gundams a lot on the forum. Understand that not all of us share all interests, so some people will be a bit put off by it.

In general, don't sacrifice what you like because others don't like it. Just don't talk about the thing when others don't feel like listening.

I will join up, as long as the event doesn't conflict with ICW battles.

I hope the disconnect helps out your family life. The internet is very consuming and can come between the things that really matter. If you do decide to come back, the community will be ready to have you here. Thanks for the modding contributions, and I hope to see you again
