Why is this map a exe file?

Naboo: Seenland was going to download it then I noticed inside the .zip was a exe file.

Is this file safe? Wanted try it out but I'll wait on confirmation.

Usually it's simply an .exe compression. Kinda archaic to do now, but some of the older maps are archived that way.

I just opened it on My mac fine.

It's good to be vigilant about these things though.
