Scaling models without edited MSH?

I want to scale the SuperBattleDroid up a bit, because his current size just doesn't quite fit what it is suppost to be.
Could I just edit the Cis_inf_sbdroid.msh.OPTION file
and type
-scale "2.0" and get him to change size?
His original OPTION FILE looks like this:
-lodgroup soldier -nocollision

You have to also scale the animation, otherwise it looks very strange. I don't know how to do that though. :P

Ah that makes sence, no wonder I haven't ever seen it done before. . .

And my mod crashes -_-
My past 10 projects have crashed, how nice it is to have another.
I guess I'll be done with modding, nothing ever seems to work on this new computer anymore.

when doing Talz, Sereja pointed out that the following needed to be in the unit's odf:
SkeletonRootScale         = "1.25"
SkeletonRootScaleLowRes   = "1.25"

CollisionRootScale        = "1.25"
CollisionLowResRootScale  = "1.25"

the 1.25 is how much the model was scaled in the .option.
That doesn't solve the scaled animations though.. I don't think.

I don't see why it would do animations. Unless Skeleton has to do with the animation actions.
I couldn't get my mods to stop crashing, I even deleted the old ones, and re-redownloaded the tools.
Doesn't seem to like whatever I did...

Thanks for the help guys.

Don't give up! You can do it, it just takes time. I had a lot of problems in the beginning too. Post what you are putting in your .msh.option and I'll see if something is wrong.

The Root Scale doesn't really scale the animation. There's some hex editing way, I think.

I wish it was all just about pouring effort into it, cause I've done far more than my patience has ever allowed before, I am tired of BFbuilder failing on me, and I'm done with it, so I'll just do Mission and side mods now.
It's quite frustrating when a 2005 htm application makes you look like an idiot infront of a whole website.

But hey, good news, I scaled a spider walker!

Alright. How so?

Oh wow, that was weird XD
I edited spider walkers MSH.OPTION file and typed in
-scale "2.0" next to all the other jiberish.
Then.. IT WORKED, and then a few seconds of getting a look at it, BOOM crash :)
fun right?

It was probably something else that you edited then.
