PFA is joining.

Nexon, Enten hasn't met the deadline to join, so BW might want to ally with GRC. Alpha is also considering allying with GRC.

So the ICW4 clan list is as follows:

BOB
FC/UEF
GRC (+ allies TBD)
PFA
YAK

Correct me if I'm wrong, but can't members of En'ten be considered members of BW for the ICW4?

Also:

"So to clarify, if your clan has a friend who wants to play exclusively for you, they should probably be put on the clan list. Players who don't want to commit to playing for a specific clan should not be on a list."

1: Do you intend the "players who don't want to commit to playing for a specific clan should not be on a list" and who aren't in that clan to play as mercs?

2: For clarification, if you are on a clan list, you cannot be a merc for another clan?  If the answer is no, there seems to be a penalty for those clan friends.

SWBF 1 and 2 Tournaments / Re: ICW4?

I'm going to stay officially neutral about clans vs random teams for now. There's more controversy than is revealed by the postings in this thread alone, so I guess I need to talk to people individually.

But unofficially, I am really skeptical that a clan tournament can work.

Gdh's suggestion that sides be equal up to a 2-person difference seems best.

--Galactic conquest vs bracket seems to be worth polling for, so please vote (top of page).

If we do galactic conquest, there will be a fairly large map list as before, with carefully chosen maps.
If we do bracket, the map list will be smaller, and maybe not even containing mod maps.

What should the merc rules be? My vote is: 2-to-1 ratio, with no other restrictions. The randomized teams means that "ganging up" should not be an issue.

Doesn't "[t]he randomized teams means that 'ganging up' should not be an issue" assume randomized teams rather than clan versus clan?  Would mercs be necessary in a randomized team scenario?  What happens if someone wants in after the teams have been randomly assigned?

Okay, so not necessarily building a PC but I have an OS question.  My notebook is currently dying, though slowly, and I may need a new one.  Looking at Clevo's stuff.  Wondering whether I could use my current notebook's Win7 key so I don't need to bother friends (my school only lets people in certain majors and/or people taking certain classes DreamSpark access) for a Win7 key and if I were to build a PC could I do this as well?

I have no idea if this site is legal.  Forum staff, please delete this post if needed.
:censored:  This one was shaky looking through it.  Some are legal, some aren't.

-The above site has a link to at least one ebook that was made legally available for download by the publisher--and is used by a class at my school (the ebook made available, not the above site). -These look good.  Glanced through these ones and could not quite find Xcode but have at it.
-A lot of schools' CS departments have resources available you might want to look into.

If you use iTunes everything should look like the above screenshots (in first post). If anyone doesn't use iTunes could you tell me if it still retains the album artwork, title etc.?

So, people who care about sound quality?

Other Games / Re: Next Gen?

You do realise Nintendo Land (The game were the Gamepad really shines.) was a launch game right? The Gamepad is not gimmicky it is a useful peace of tech. I get real tired of people who've never used the Wii U calling it a bad system and a flop. It's a great system with great potential. It's also by far the best one for social gaming.  Not any of that online crap, real social gaming. Everyone in the same room playing on the same TV.

And yes Sony does have some really, really great exclusives on the PS3; hence why I own one and not an Xbox 360. Arguably the best singleplayer ones, but when it comes to multiplayer games Nintendo owns simply because they bother to continue to support split-screen. (And their games are these amazing things of so much fun.)

But... "flop" generally means that something didn't live up to expectations.  It doesn't necessarily mean something is bad and it certainly doesn't mean that it's worthless as I infer from your post.  The thing is, I have this feeling that many of the people who call the Wii U a "bad system"--maybe even most--don't mean it as an empirical statement; instead, I think they mean "the Wii U is not a good console for me as a consumer" either because the Wii U does not appeal to them or because alternatives appeal to them more.

But, with regards to your observation in distinguishing the Wii U's gamepad from new features on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, I see a problem.  If the factor distinguishing the Wii U from the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 is that the Wii U has launch games and the Xbox One and PS4 don't...

Well, given the factor you've identified as being is important is launch games, then a (but not necessarily the only) general test for determining if a feature is a gimmick is whether than feature has launch capabilities.  This seems like a silly general test.  Especially for a product ostensibly designed to last a decade.

Canada is actually a very nice place, I know because I've been there before. Of course, up North is just about the opposite of down south. Down south, people don't ever shut up, and tend to talk faster the farther you go. Up north, you can't even get your order re-read to you for you're double whopper with cheese ???

All right.

First off, you're judging a game based off it's art style. This is always and I stress always a bad idea. I've done it in the past with games like Orcs Must Die! and boy was I wrong. OMD! has a cartoon art style and this put me off it. But I did buy it and man did I love it. Watch these if you haven't already http://store.steampowered.com/video/440 they give an insight into the game's great sense of humour and how the art style works well with it.

Now the gameplay of TF2 is pretty much the best out of any FPS on the market. The classes are all diverse and there is one to fit anyone's play style. TF2 also has many, many gamemodes CTF, CP, Payload, the co-op MvM and more. All of them are brilliantly designed.

TF2 is requires you to learn completely new shooter skills. This ain't COD or BF. Your skills won't move over well. Each class has their own play style and you'll need to learn all of them. (Watching good players in action helps with this.)  Their are also no direct weapon upgrades only ones for different play styles. 75% of the time stock weapons are regarded as the best ones.

Finally we have hats... Oh hats... I love hats, don't you? Then their are the Unusuals and Festives... Ah it's just so wonderful.

But I'm getting carried away from the point. You're judging something based off pictures and or videos. It's free you have very little excuse not to try it before judging it. Give it a few hours at least and then you may criticise it. Until then your opinion on it is of very little value.

TF2 reminds me a lot of Counter Strike, though I don't have too much experience playing TF2 and even less playing CS.
